Take a long deep breath in,
Hold it and release.
Keep breathing in and out,
Gathering up all stress,
All tension,
All negativity with your inhale and then letting it all out with your exhale.
In this moment all is well and you are safe.
Keep taking long deep breaths in,
Using your breath as a tool to detoxify,
As a tool to let go of anything that's holding you back from being in alignment with who you really are.
With every exhale you're releasing resistance and you're aligning yourself to your inner love and joy.
As you're coming into a relaxed state of being,
I want you to visualize that on the top of your head there is this bright ball of golden light.
It's a healing light,
It's a relaxing light,
It's a recalibrating kind of light.
Visualize this light slowly seeping through the top of your head right now and flowing over your forehead,
Relaxing it completely.
Moving down through your nose and your eyes,
Your eyelids,
Flowing through your lips and your jaw,
Your cheeks,
Making its way through your head and saturating your brain,
Releasing any incoming thoughts,
Allowing your mind to become still.
The golden light flows through the back of your head and down through your neck,
Relaxing all your neck muscles.
As it flows down and drops into your shoulders,
Letting go of all the resistance you're holding onto and releasing all your responsibilities,
Invite the golden light to flow through your upper arms,
Your forearms,
Your hands and your fingers,
Relaxing them completely.
As it moves down through your chest now and all your chest muscles,
Saturating your heart and your lungs,
Giving them some love and appreciation for keeping you alive.
Let this golden light flow through your back now,
Down through your spine,
Through every single vertebra,
Relaxing your back completely and allowing you to sink deeper into the chair.
As the golden light moves down through the core of your body,
Saturating all your vital organs,
Many of which have been working overtime to respond to all the stresses of life,
Let that tension go now.
Give permission to your body to just be.
The golden light moves down now through your belly and into your hips,
Flowing through your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves,
Your ankles,
Your feet and your toes,
Filling up your entire body with this warm,
Relaxing,
Re-energizing golden light.
You now feel so relaxed,
Completely at ease,
In alignment with who you really are.
In this relaxed state of being,
I want you to gently place your attention now to the center of your heart,
Where you'll find your inner child,
A little you.
As you notice your inner child,
Take some time to just observe how he or she looks and feels,
Notice the expressions on its face,
The way it's dressed,
The way it holds itself.
See if you can get a sense of its thoughts and emotions,
And look around your inner child to notice the context.
Where is it?
Why is it there?
And who's around it?
Now approach your inner child as your wiser,
Older,
Adult self.
And as you get near,
Simply say hi,
And notice how your inner child responds.
Is it anxious?
Is it excited?
Is it cautious?
Is it afraid?
And why?
Reassure your inner child that you're here to help,
That you're here to heal,
That you're here to get to know it better.
And as you do so,
Notice how it lets out a sigh of relief.
Take some time to ask your inner child a few questions,
And just notice whatever the answer is.
You may hear it,
Feel it,
Or know the answer.
Just let yourself receive it.
How do you feel?
Just listen.
Why do you feel this way?
And listen.
What do you need?
And listen.
How are you hurting?
And listen.
What do you need to let go of?
Who do you need to forgive?
What will make you happier?
What can I do to support you?
What more can I do to love you?
What do you dream of?
Who do you want to be when you grow up?
As your inner child expresses to you whatever it has to offer,
Be understanding,
Listen carefully,
And show it that you get it.
Making a promise that you will do whatever you can to make its wishes come true,
To take away its fear or pain or worry,
And replace it with love.
And as you make this promise,
Open your arms wide and welcome in your inner child an entire white hug,
A comforting,
Nurturing hug that releases any remaining resistance or stress,
Anxiety,
Fear that it felt.
And as you're hugging,
Extend pink light from your heart and let it join its heart,
Giving some love to your inner child,
To the little you,
A part of you that you probably abandoned,
Have forgotten about,
Or have forgotten for quite some time.
Make it right right now by extending that love and the promise that moving forward you're To nurture,
To play with,
And comfort it when it feels scared.
And as you do this,
You can see your inner child smiling now,
Laughing even,
Returning back to its carefree,
Joyful,
Pure state of being.
The state of being it had when it came into this world,
Full of love and positivity and excitement about the future.
And as you let go right now,
Let your inner child know that even though you're going,
You're never too far.
You're always nearby and ready to come in,
To laugh,
To play,
And to enjoy each other's company.
And with the next inhale,
Let yourself slowly start coming back to the present moment right now.
With your eyes closed,
Start making small movements with your fingers and your wrists,
Moving your shoulders around a little bit,
And your head.
And when you're ready,
Take a long,
Deep breath in,
Hold it,
Smile,
Open your eyes,
And release.
