Hello and welcome to your winter solstice meditation.
I am so glad you are here.
I'm Hannah and I will be guiding you on this journey.
Take a moment to settle wherever you are.
Let your body adjust.
Your shoulders soften.
Let your breath find its own rhythm.
This winter solstice meditation is your invitation to pause.
To allow you to return inward and to recognise the quiet growth which is happening beneath the surface of your life.
The kind of growth that doesn't need to be seen to be real.
This is your chance to reset,
To recalibrate and to listen to what your body needs.
Take one slow breath in and a long,
Gentle exhale.
As you arrive,
Feel the weight of your body supported beneath you.
Feel the chair,
The bed or the floor.
Let your muscles loosen just 5% more.
Allow your lower belly to soften.
Release your jaw and allow that space behind your eyes to relax.
Bring your attention to this simple truth.
You are here,
You are safe and you are allowed to pause.
Take another slow inhale and exhale it with a sigh.
Repeat this for a few rounds,
Letting a longer exhale clear away any tension that you're holding on in your body.
Each breath is a small release,
Permission to stop carrying things that don't belong to you.
When you are ready,
Let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
The winter solstice marks the longest night,
A moment the world naturally turns inward.
And whether or not we consciously follow these rhythms,
Our bodies always feel it.
There is a pull towards rest,
Towards recalibration,
Towards quiet truths that don't speak loudly.
But instead whisper beneath the surface.
Let yourself meet that stillness with no expectation.
You're not trying to feel anything special,
You're not trying to force anything at all.
You're just being here in this soft internal space.
Tonight we acknowledge the type of growth that happens in the background.
All of those subtle shifts and the deep work.
The changes that don't show up onto the surface,
Yet.
Take a time to think about a part of your life or your identity that has been slowly evolving.
Not the loud changes,
Not the visible winds,
But the quiet development that you can sense internally.
Maybe you've shown more resilience than you thought.
Maybe your boundaries have become clearer.
Maybe you've been healing from things that others will never know about.
Maybe you're learning to soften.
Or maybe you're learning to strengthen.
Maybe right now you're simply becoming more you.
You don't need to picture anything.
Just feel into the truth that growth often begins in silence.
Often before you can explain it,
And often before you can see it.
Let this meditation be a space where that quiet growth is acknowledged,
Honoured and supported.
Take a slow breath in and imagine an inner expansion.
Not visual,
But energetic.
A sense of,
I'm opening,
I'm unfolding and I'm becoming.
Breathe out anything that feels like pressure or urgency.
In our culture,
Stillness is often misunderstood.
We're taught to equate slowness with stagnation.
Pausing with falling behind.
And resting with giving up.
A solstice teaches us a very different truth.
It teaches us that rest is a strategy.
Stillness is strength.
And you can learn from the quiet.
For the next few breaths,
Feel the power in doing nothing.
Just feel the power in just being right here in this present moment.
Affirm to yourself,
This quiet moment is working for me,
Not against me.
I don't have to rush my evolution.
I grow deeply in the stillness.
Let these words land gently in the body.
Now bring awareness to anything from this year or this season that feels complete.
It doesn't need to be anything dramatic.
Just anything that feels done.
That can be a mindset,
A habit or a pressure that you no longer need.
It can simply be a version of you that you have quietly outgrown.
You don't need to visualize releasing it.
Just acknowledge it in your own mind.
Name it internally and say to yourself.
That part of my life is complete.
And with your next long exhale,
Allow it to loosen its grip.
Even one percent.
Now shift your attention to the kind of energy you want more of as the days slowly lengthen.
These aren't goals.
They're certainly not resolutions.
These are your inequalities that you want to anchor.
Maybe it's calm.
Confidence.
Self-trust.
Clarity.
Space.
Presence.
Or a steadier relationship with yourself.
Choose one or two qualities that feel right.
Let them settle into your body.
Take the time to affirm them gently.
These qualities are already growing within me.
I am becoming who I'm meant to be.
Naturally and steadily.
Allow a soft grounded confidence to flow through you.
Like winter roots.
The type that doesn't need to be loud or visual to be real.
Begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Inhale slow,
Steady.
Exhale unhurried and grounded.
Feel the support beneath you again.
Feel the air around your skin.
Feel the weight and presence of your body in this moment.
Know this.
You don't need external proof for your inner growth to be valid.
Deep transformation happens quietly.
And tonight,
You have created space for it.
Take one final,
Generous breath in.
And a long,
Releasing breath out.
When you're ready,
Gently wiggle the fingers and the toes.
Roll the shoulders and let the eyes open.
Let them open in their own time.
Be sure to carry this quiet power into the rest of your evening.
Steady,
Grounded and softly expanding.
Thank you for joining me today.
I wish you a very happy winter solstice.
