Hello,

And welcome to your peaceful place meditation.

The purpose of this meditation is to guide you to a peaceful,

Safe,

And calming space within your mind,

Your own personal retreat,

Where you can relax,

Recharge,

And return to whenever you need to reconnect with yourself.

Whenever you're ready,

Let's begin.

First,

Finding a comfortable position.

Whether seated or lying down,

Allow your spine to lengthen,

Your chest to open,

Your shoulders to relax down away from your ears.

And if it feels comfortable,

Close your eyes or gently soften your gaze.

For the next few moments,

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Let it gently center and ground you.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Feel the cool air as it enters your nostrils,

And the warmth as you exhale.

Breathe in and out,

Noticing the natural rise and fall of your belly.

There's nowhere to be,

Nothing to do.

Simply allow yourself this moment to rest.

With each breath,

Release any tension you may be carrying.

Let go of any tightness in your body,

Starting to feel your muscles relax and soften,

Almost as if a cleansing waterfall is washing over every cell of your being.

Continue breathing here,

Slowly and as deep as your body wants to go.

Nothing to force,

Fix,

Or solve.

Simply be.

Inhaling,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold at the top,

Two,

Three.

Exhaling out,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And again,

Inhaling,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Hold,

Two,

Three.

Out,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

Let the rhythm of your breath slow,

Bringing your body into a state of ease.

Now,

In your mind's eye,

Begin to create your peaceful place,

A space where you feel completely relaxed and at peace.

This could be a place you've been before or possibly somewhere entirely new.

What does this place look like?

Start by imagining the layout.

Where is it?

Outdoors in nature or indoors,

Cozy and inviting?

Is it large or is it small?

Let the image of your peaceful place form clearly in your mind.

Take your time here.

There is no rush.

Now,

Add a bit more detail.

Who is with you?

Are you alone or possibly sharing this space with others?

Perhaps there are animals or birds nearby.

Allow yourself to feel the presence of whomever or whatever is there.

As you settle into your peaceful place,

Focus on the sounds surrounding you.

What do you hear?

The rustling of leaves,

The gentle hum of nature,

Soft music or a calming breeze?

Take a moment to imagine the taste,

Smells,

And touch of this place.

Feel the warmth or coolness of the air as it kisses your cheeks,

The surface you're resting on,

Or the softness of the earth beneath you.

Visualize the colors,

The shapes,

And objects around you.

Are there flowers,

Trees,

Water?

What makes this place feel so calming to you?

Now,

Picture yourself in this peaceful place.

What are you doing?

Perhaps you're sitting,

Breathing deeply,

Or walking calmly through the space.

Maybe you're simply relaxing,

Letting go of any worries.

Feel the peace and comfort of being here in your peaceful place.

This is yours,

Free from worries,

Stress,

Or demands.

It's a space for you to rest,

Reset,

Relax,

And simply be.

Stay in this peaceful place for as long as you need.

There is no rush.

Memorize the sights,

Sounds,

And sensations so that you can return whenever you need a break.

As we near the end of this meditation,

Know that this place is always with you in your mind's eye,

Waiting to offer you a moment of relaxation whenever you need it.

When you're ready to return,

Gently bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Begin to notice the space around you and feel the connection between your body and the surface you're resting on.

Possibly bringing some movement into your physical body.

Taking a deep breath in and out.

Maybe your biggest of the day.

Notice how you feel.

What,

If anything,

Has shifted or changed for you?

I invite you to carry the calm of your peaceful place with you as you return to your day,

Knowing you can come back here at any time.

As you step into the rest of your day,

Take what feels light with you and leave behind what feels heavy.

It is no longer yours to carry.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

With peace and love,

Be well my friend.
