I welcome all of you amazing mothers to this nursing guided meditation.

This meditation will not only help you feel less alone,

But also support you in acknowledging the thoughts and feelings that you may be holding onto that are wanting to be seen and heard by you so they can be released.

Because let's be real,

Not all nursing sessions are filled with love and bliss.

Some may feel physically and emotionally depleting.

And we may wish we were doing something else instead,

Like sleeping.

But for a lot of mums it can feel like we are in this alone.

We can feel like we are the only ones awake as we crawl out of bed to nurse.

We can feel like we spend the majority of our day sitting and nursing alone.

You are not alone if you too feel this.

This is time for you to be in the depths of your nursing journey,

While feeling seen,

Heard and loved regardless of what your experience may be.

So let's begin this meditation.

Get settled and comfortable in whatever position feels good to you and begin to nurse your baby.

It may be 3am in the morning or right in the middle of the day.

Whatever time it is for you and however you are feeling,

Know that you are not alone and that your emotions are valid.

Soften your gaze as you bring your focus to this very present moment.

You may want to look at your baby,

Or you may just want to gaze out the window at something beautiful in your space.

Just soften and sink into this moment as you feed your little one,

Relaxing the body,

Releasing any resistance to the experience by accepting this moment you are in now.

Feeling the suckle of your baby on the breast or bottle,

Being with this moment.

Begin to notice the rise and fall of your breath as you relax deeper into your nursing session.

Below the breath as it moves through your body,

As you inhale and exhale,

And as you continue breathing and relaxing deeper,

I want you to know that it may feel like you are all alone,

But there are countless women across the globe that are nursing their babies too,

Or doing their best to provide for their baby and to be a great mother,

Regardless of how exhausted,

Alone or underappreciated they might feel right now.

Let the knowing of this help you feel less alone and more connected to the mothers that are going through this journey alongside you,

While also knowing that what you are feeling is so valid.

So welcome and accept all the thoughts and feelings that may be arising within you now.

Let any self-judgment go.

Motherhood can be hard at times,

So it's okay to feel low and to not feel at the top of your game.

Sleep deprivation and nursing can be draining and intense for any human being,

So be gentle and compassionate with yourself.

You are doing such a wonderful and important job.

Know this even if nobody tells you so.

As you admire your beautiful baby,

Or allow your soft gaze to rest upon something beautiful,

Let it soften your heart.

Let it break down any barriers to this moment.

Feel your body,

Mind and heart embrace this nursing experience with your precious baby.

Feeling less alone and more connected with your baby,

With the mums around the world and to life itself.

Allow the breath to flow easefully through your heart space now.

Feeling a peace,

A compassion,

A sense of unity.

Rest in this energy and state of consciousness until you have completed nursing your baby.

Turn any remaining feelings of loneliness into a sense of belonging and connection as you embrace and accept the beautiful mother that you are.
