Transcript

Come into a comfortable seated or lying position.

Taking some deep,

Slow,

Mindful breaths as you begin to let go,

Surrender.

Bringing full awareness into the physical presence of your body.

Directing energy into the physical body away from the thinking mind.

Taking a moment to notice how things feel.

Notice any areas of tension.

Any uncomfortable sensations.

Just checking in with yourself,

Acknowledging how you feel right now.

Starting at the soles of the feet.

Bringing your full attention to this area.

Acknowledging the weight that your feet bear day to day.

Maybe taking a moment to have gratitude for your feet.

As you let go of any remaining tension in the muscles and the intricate joints of the toes and the feet.

Moving now into the ankles and the lower legs.

Again,

Just notice how things feel in this area.

Directing your energy to this area.

Your thoughts,

Your focus,

Your awareness.

And slowly letting go in the ankles and the lower legs.

All the tissues becoming soft and relaxed.

Into the knees and the upper legs.

Often we can feel quite heavy in this area.

Notice any unusual sensations arising.

Perhaps you can feel the blood flow through the thighs,

Down the legs.

You may even feel tingly sensations as you choose to direct the energy of thought into the upper legs.

As you now let go,

Soften,

Relax,

Allow tension to dissolve in the upper legs.

Moving up into the hips and pelvis.

Starting to notice if you can feel the root chakra subtle energy.

Full attention and awareness in the pelvic area.

Not only the muscles and the joints,

But moving into the organs and other soft tissues of the body.

Acknowledging anything that comes up,

Any sensations.

You may wish to visualize the color red,

Mooladhara,

The root chakra.

Notice if energy is flowing freely in this area.

Notice if there is any resistance or tension.

As you now let go.

Feeling heavy in the space,

All tension in the lower body has dissolved.

Moving up the spine into the lower abdomen,

The lower back.

The area of the sacral chakra and the solar plexus.

The pleasure center.

The area where we feel that gut instinct.

So notice here what are you holding in this area.

Maybe if you're experiencing stress.

It will come up here in the solar plexus chakra.

It's time now to let that go.

Surrender.

Allow this space to settle and just be.

Moving up the spine into the chest and upper back.

Checking in.

You may even wish to place your hand on your chest,

Your heart center.

Really connecting with the heart chakra.

Notice if your heart rate begins to increase or slow down.

Notice if you're holding on to tension anywhere in the muscles or the joints.

Often if we've experienced anxiety we can feel tight in the chest.

Directing your energy,

Your thoughts into this area.

As you begin to lead out towards the shoulders.

Into the arms,

The wrists and the hands all the way through to the fingertips.

On each exhale just letting go further.

Allowing all the soft tissues to become softer.

Allow all tension to melt.

The bones,

The joints even becoming soft.

Now bringing your awareness to the shoulders.

And the weights that you may be carrying on your shoulders day to day.

Any thoughts of the past.

Anticipation of the future.

To-do lists,

Responsibilities.

Any chaos that you're carrying around.

Just gather all of those things up.

And almost like offloading a backpack.

Just setting those weights down.

Allowing the shoulders to feel light and soft.

And notice when you offload in this area the mind follows.

The mind feels lighter.

Looser.

With more space.

Coming up now to the throat area.

Up to the top of the spine into the neck.

Checking in and noticing how things feel in this area.

Are you in flow with your self-expression?

Or are you experiencing any tightness or irritation in this area?

And once again giving yourself permission to let go.

Soften.

Relax.

Release tension.

As you move now into the head and face.

Notice all the subtle joints,

Muscles,

Bones.

Notice where you're holding tension.

Perhaps it's in the jaw or the face.

Maybe the forehead or around the scalp.

Acknowledge the feelings,

The sensations and any resistance.

With full awareness of the third eye chakra and the crown chakra.

Directing your thoughts and energy into the head and face.

Slightly above the crown.

Notice any sensations physically or energetically.

And allow yourself to let go.

Let go of resistance.

Let go of judgement.

Let go of tension.

Relaxing all the muscles around the face.

Feeling loose in the jaw,

The cheeks,

The tongue,

The forehead.

Allowing the mind to be free.

And at one with the body.

Asking yourself how often do you manage to let go on this level.

Acknowledging how good it feels.

And know that you have brought yourself to this place with thought.

You've chosen the thoughts to bring you to this place of peace.

And if the mind does wander off that's okay.

You can use the breath as an anchor to bring you back.

Reminding you that home is within you.

Reminding you that you have control.

You have choice.

And staying in this energy,

In this space.

For as long as you feel is needed.

Always trusting the body.

Trusting your intuition and the energy from your heart.

And remembering to have gratitude for yourself.

For giving you this special time to heal,

Recalibrate,

Relax,

Repair and rebalance.

And cool dumps.
