That internal voice,

The narrative that spins stories like both a friend and an enemy,

The dialogue that pulls you away from things and pushes you into things,

The inner critic and possibly the biggest influence on your life story so far,

The irrational side of your mind that has a tendency to exaggerate and distort past events whilst presenting wild predictions of your future,

The side that seeks out the most negative aspects of a situation and grasps it,

It magnifies it and sends you down a hole to dwell in the what-ifs and worst case scenarios and that hole either gets deeper or you land somewhere like this and you dig yourself out.

I'm here to give you some guidance for taking control of your mind chatter and in doing so you will stop it from controlling you.

You've probably heard by now if not throughout this podcast then through other self-help tools that you can change your default thought processes in around six to eight weeks but in doing this you then need to befriend your inner voice and work with it to keep it at bay and keep it on your side.

Sometimes you will do the mindset work and then you will find it slipping back into the shadow side and as it does it will slowly begin to dim your light again and you may be left wondering how that happened.

I believe that taking control of the conditioned mind is a daily practice for life.

The mind for me is like a second person within my being.

It is the ego,

It is not my truest most authentic self,

It can choose the mask I wear or it can even be the mask I wear but when I'm laid bare in the embrace of my vulnerability with no attachment to thoughts and no ego knocking this is where I am truly home and I'm able to get to know my authentic self on deeper levels as well as connect with my higher self and the subtle energy that resonates in and around me.

The energy that connects me to the universe and makes me feel like I'm part of the whole entity and not separate as my mind wants me to believe.

For us to flourish,

Live fully and maintain well-being we really need to get control over our conscious mind.

We first need to understand it and then start to tame it,

Befriend it and catch it in its tracks when it starts taking us down a path that we know will lead to a labyrinth of make-believe and far-fetched fantasy.

Of course the practice of mindfulness can help with this but today we are going to go deeper,

Much deeper.

If any of this resonates with you do stay with me,

Get comfortable and prepare for a meditation practice that is intended to ease you away from your mind chatter and stop it from grasping so the truth can be revealed,

Your whole truth.

This practice is to detach you from your ego,

Your shadow side,

The part of your subconscious mind that holds your spirit back and stops your light from shining.

It's to help you to reach your true potential and there are no limits.

It takes practice so if you get somewhere today then consider coming back to this regularly and you will find that each time you go deeper and it will resonate more and more with you until the time comes where you can go to that place at any time without the guidance.

In this practice you will hear the sounds of crystal singing bowls,

They are tuned to the frequencies of the solar plexus chakra,

The throat chakra and the crown.

We will also be bringing in some visualization and some breath work.

So come into a comfortable position,

Preferably seated,

We want to stay alert throughout this practice.

We don't want to fall into such a deep relaxation that we are bordering on sleep,

We want to stay alert and aware.

It's a deep practice and although I am facilitating this it is actually yourself that will be your guide.

So preferably seated but do feel free to lie down if you wish,

Making sure you are comfortable and you have a straight spine all the way from the base up to the top of the neck.

If you are sitting just tuck your chin in slightly just to keep the neck nice and straight and in your own time just settling in feeling the weight of the physical body in the space and just begin to connect with your breath as you close the eyes.

Check in with yourself so how are you feeling physically?

Notice any pain or any areas of discomfort,

Just notice them,

Just try not to attach yourself to them but if you can adjust your posture slightly just to ease the pain or discomfort then please do so.

As you connect with your breath you are connecting here now with the physical body as we start to initiate the parasympathetic nervous system we are coming into rest and repair mode.

So let's just take a moment to enjoy this stillness in the body and maybe your mind hasn't managed to slow down just yet and that is okay we will get there.

This is more about your physical body and the stillness stillness and with your eyes closed you are accessing a deeper part of your being just by closing off that sense closing off the vision and although we are connecting with the breath we're not forcing anything so just connect with the natural rhythm of the breath notice if and when your mind wanders so and now just asking yourself the following questions and think about answering the questions with honesty but without any judgment it doesn't matter how you answer them or what the answers are it's important that there are no judgments what stories have you been telling yourself lately what story are you mixed up in right now what story have you started to let go of since listening to these words has someone else influenced the story maybe something you've read or heard has played a part in creating the story and that is exactly what it is a story and that is exactly what it is a story with kindness and compassion for yourself open your mind's eye and visualize that story as a physical book and you are writing the pages and chapters with your thoughts you are constantly predicting the future of the story second by second minute by minute it's time to close the book and set it down out of sight it serves no purpose right now it will always exist and can be returned to you even if you lose it so do not worry of its whereabouts do not attach yourself to its physical state because just like your thoughts this too is an illusion a vision and a voice that you can slip away from think about that slipping away into a state of surrender it is here you must trust the embrace of your vulnerability without the thinking mind you are vulnerable because there is no mask or illusion there are no options but to be here now exactly as you are as your purest self connect with your purest self vulnerable open and willing to explore outside the boundaries of your thinking mind it is here where you will hear the calls of your intuition and perhaps even your higher consciousness it's here that you will feel a deep connection to the universe as you connect with the subtle energy the energy that is not born by thought or action the energy that is ever present ever changing yet goes unseen and unheard the energy that can be felt in all its glory when you tune in fully to your spirit the part of your being that nobody but you has access to the place where your deepest wisdom waits to be acknowledged and heard i invite you to fully let go now let go of self of me of i of thought of thought absorb the sounds feel the sounds tune into the energy of your spirit so so so so so so so so so so i will leave you now to gently return do this in your own time by reconnecting with the breath so maintain mindful awareness of the transition from your meditative state back to the physical presence of your body my wish for you today is to feel safe and protected in your vulnerability as you work through the layers of the conditioned mind to nurture and reveal your authentic self and reveal your authentic self a spiritual being capable of unconditional love and limitless joy
