Now we will go deep inside you and start to relax.

Each breath you take slowly and easily takes you deeper inside yourself and more deeply relaxed.

This session is a session to deeply relax you and to find a deep spot inside you where you are calm and relaxed.

Notice your breath.

Notice the feeling of air flowing smoothly in and out of your body.

Notice how your whole body relaxes more with each breath.

Notice how with each breath your mind becomes calmer and more relaxed and is emptying of all thoughts.

All those thoughts can wait until tomorrow.

Right now,

Now is a time to relax and feel your breath relaxing you.

As you relax your body,

You imagine your body is a series of balloons with air valves attached that let the air out of these balloons.

Begin by feeling your feet.

Feel the air valve open in your feet.

Feel the air flowing out slowly and your feet becoming relaxed and floppy.

Feel any tension draining through that valve leaving your feet feeling warm,

Loose and floppy.

Feel your legs.

Feel the valve in your legs open and feel the air moving out and leaving your legs like deflated balloons.

Feel the air blowing out slowly leaving two flaccid legs feeling relaxed,

So relaxed.

Feel the valve near your bottom open.

Feel the air moving out slowly relaxing those muscles.

Feel how relaxed your bottom is becoming,

So relaxed.

So free of tension,

So relaxed.

Feel your back valve open letting the air out.

Out it comes all that tension,

The air flowing out slowly as your back sinks lower and lower on the bed.

All the muscles in your back relax and sink into the bed feeling so good.

Deeper and deeper into the bed.

Feel the belly button valve open and the air flowing out.

Each breath you take relaxes your belly more and more.

Your belly releases the tension that lies within it.

Any thoughts you've been holding onto,

Any residual pain or tension you've been storing in your belly is now drifting away out of the valve and away forever.

Feel your arms and shoulder valve open and the air rushing out relaxing you,

Calming you.

Your breath is so slow and calm,

So slow and calm and relaxed.

Your arms feel so loose and flabby.

Your arms cannot be moved,

They feel so heavy and flaccid.

Your shoulders are sinking even now deeply into the bed and relaxing,

Relaxing,

Relaxing you deeply.

Your neck valve now opens and relaxation starts to flow through your neck as all tension slowly flows away.

Your neck sinks deeply into the bed as your breath blows away any residual pain or tension and your neck is fully able to relax.

Finally and deeply relaxed.

What a wonderful feeling.

Your face and head valve now opens,

Your forehead relaxing so deeply and your face and head sinks down deeply,

Deeply down into the bed.

Deeply down deeper than ever before,

Your face feeling so deeply relaxed.

Feeling all that calm that comes with each and every breath you now take,

Those calming breaths so slow,

Relaxing you deeply.

Your face is melting down now,

It's so relaxed.

Here you are in a state of supreme relaxation.

You find yourself suspended,

Floating,

Feeling light and very,

Very good.

You feel the most positive sense of satisfaction and relaxation here in this quiet,

Safe place.

Here in your quiet,

Safe place,

Your feelings of relaxation only increase as you breathe,

With each breath bringing you deeper and deeper into relaxation.

As you continue to relax and breathe deeply in your quiet,

Safe place,

I want you to begin to picture yourself at your gym.

You're at your gym and you are wrestling with an enjoyable training partner,

Someone you really enjoy rolling with.

It doesn't matter if you can or can't see them in your mind's eye.

You can continue to feel the sensations of grappling with them in your body and enjoy the sensations of flowing through moves with them.

As you do,

You start to notice your body deeply relaxing and flowing easily through positions and moves as if you were your favorite wrestler or judoka.

Notice the wonderful feelings of movement and sensation as if you are dancing rapturously with no one looking.

And no one is looking.

It's just you rolling with your partner here in your quiet,

Safe place deep inside your mind.

So you can do whatever you like.

You are having so much fun,

Feeling so relaxed,

So wonderful.

Everything feels just so easy.

You love grappling.

This is why you've put so much time and effort into it so we can feel like this.

So relaxed.

So wonderful.

Take your time wrestling and having fun in this enjoyable time.

And when you feel like it,

You will finish this wrestle.

And take a moment to savor your deep relaxation now.

You are moving into still deeper relaxation with tension falling from your muscles,

Sinking into the bed and feeling better,

Lighter and clearer with each and every breath.

Now that you're in a deep state of relaxation,

I want you to start rolling with the bigger,

Stronger or better grappler,

The one who perhaps intimidates you or scares you a little.

Notice that here in your quiet,

Safe place,

This person is nowhere near as scary or intimidating,

Strong or dominating.

They're just another person rolling with you and helping you to get better at the sport you love.

And notice that your subconscious mind has started to adjust things a little to help you realize that perhaps they're not as scary or intimidating.

That they are in fact just another wrestler and you are in fact probably better than what you thought.

As you begin wrestling,

Continue to feel these deep,

Relaxing feelings.

There is zero concern and no anxiety.

Those things now fall away from you as you start to move,

Feeling relaxed and wonderful,

Enjoying yourself in your safe place.

As you feel relaxed and wonderful,

Your training partner starts to get a dominant position on you,

Moving around on your body and you feel relaxed and wonderful.

Deep breathing easily and clearly,

Your mind working with clarity and confidence and you begin to smile.

There are no longer any feelings of desperation.

Instead,

There is a deliberateness of movement and a surge of confidence that you are capable of surviving and not just surviving but thriving.

And this makes you smile.

The thought enters your head that this,

This is what makes you stronger.

This,

Being crushed by a larger,

Stronger or more skilled person,

Feeling this discomfort,

Willingly putting yourself into an uncomfortable situation in order to get better at this martial art and better at life.

This is what makes you stronger.

And this makes you smile.

And you feel a rush of pride that you are deliberately entering this discomfort in order to grow as a person,

To reach your fullest potential.

And this makes you smile.

And this smile releases a flood of relaxation through your body.

A wonderful feeling that comes from this smile of yours.

You feel your body in its natural relaxed state,

And it feels just so good.

So wonderful.

And you can sense in yourself the knowledge that every time you do this,

Put yourself on the mats with these bigger,

Stronger,

Scarier,

Better grapplers,

You know that you are getting better and better at your sport.

Your skills are improving time and time again.

You feel the knowledge of your instructor flowing into you with each lesson.

You can feel now the sensation of grappling with ease,

Flowing between moves and positions just so easily,

As if you've been doing it your whole life from the day you were born.

And this makes you smile.

Grappling feels so natural to you.

So simple.

You can feel it all starting to make sense in your mind and your body.

So much so that you can now picture yourself rolling with all your training partners.

And feeling confident and relaxed and flowing easily between moves and positions.

It feels so easy.

It feels just so easy.

No matter whether you're on top or on bottom,

You feel the wonderful feeling of deep relaxation and enjoyment.

You actually now enjoy being on bottom,

Being in difficult situations,

Because you now realize that this is what makes you stronger.

This is what makes you so much better within yourself.

And this thought in turn makes you relax even more,

Which makes you wrestle even better,

Which helps you relax even more and wrestle even better.

And so on and on until you are having the best grappling sessions of your life,

Each and every time you wrestle.

And you now realize that you can return to your safe place.

This quiet,

Safe place and practice whenever you want.

You can return and feel relaxed and wonderful and practice these feelings for the mat.

And earn your black belt in relaxation and feeling good.

Your subconscious mind is now putting all this into action.

Putting it all together for you in order that you can have a relaxing and fantastic time on the mat with your training partners.

Now it is time to return from your deep relaxation.

I will count to 10.

And as I do,

You feel yourself either settling down to a deep and relaxing sleep.

Or emerging to wake and feel utterly refreshed and amazing for the rest of the day.

Whatever you choose to do,

It is the right choice and your subconscious mind is now helping to put all you have learned into play in your life.
