Hi,
My name is Jasmine and welcome to this guided meditation session.
Practicing daily meditation increases our self-awareness by helping us to be fully present with our thoughts,
Feelings,
And experiences.
And in today's session,
We will explore the power of self-love,
Compassion,
And emotional connection with ourselves.
Before we begin,
Find a comfortable seated position.
You can do this sitting on a chair or a cushion.
And make sure your spine is nice and tall.
Shoulders are relaxed and away from the ears and hands are resting softly on your knees.
And gently close your eyes.
Begin to breathe naturally,
Checking in with ourselves.
How are you feeling right now?
As you are breathing,
I invite you to relax your forehead,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
Your entire upper body,
Your lower body.
Relaxing your whole body.
Now let us take a deep breath in all the way to our belly.
Noticing the sensations of your breath moving in.
And with every out breath,
Release any tension or stress that you may be holding on to.
We will now begin to explore a breath work technique called the heart coherence breath work,
Where we breathe in through our nose for a count of five and breathe out through our nose for a count of five.
Now before we move into this exercise,
I want to remind you to not force this breath.
Breathe nice and gently and follow in sync.
And as you breathe in,
Imagine sending your breath into your heart space.
Let's begin.

Now as you're moving in this deep state of relaxation,
I want you to bring to your mind's eye a vision of you standing in front of a mirror.
Gently shift your gaze to your own reflection in the mirror.
Allow your eyes to meet your gaze looking deeply into your own eyes.
And as you're looking into your own eyes,
You naturally begin to speak.
We have some patterns to dissolve you and I,
But we can do this together.
We can get through this and come out the other side.
Please know that I love you right now,
And I'll keep loving you on this ride.
I'm ready to release the stories in my head and forgive myself for believing everything my inner critic has ever said.
I know there is healing ahead.
I am done making self-love conditioned upon everyone else's status and where they stand.
If I can only be the best in comparison,
I travel a road that doesn't lead home.
I am ready to see now how I can be home.
Belonging to the universe wherever I go,
Standing in truth wherever I stand.
Let us breathe bravely.
Let us shine through what we thought we couldn't do.
I will serve you dear heart.
I am ready to listen to you.
I'm ready to honor the truths that were too hard to respect when I was younger.
There's this new hunger within,
A call to befriend who has always wished to be a friend.
I will meet you in my silence and pain,
For you have met me there on so many occasions.
I will honor you until I hear you speak my name.
For I have not listened for so long.
I will follow you down the paths you point out to me.
I am grateful for your resilience dear heart.
You have stuck around this long,
Walking through the treacherous rain with me,
Pointing to the moon when I forgot to see.
You've guided me this far.
You've traveled very far my dear heart.
Come in,
Rest.
Take off your coat.
Let me serve you tea.
Notice how you begin to have a soft smile on your face,
As you begin to realize that love begins with you.
Now let us close this practice by taking a few more deep breaths,
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes and coming back to the space.
