As you lie comfortably in your bed, you'll be guided through breath exercises, body awareness, and reflections on gratitude, setting the foundation for a present and positive day. By the end of this meditation, you'll feel refreshed, centered, and ready to embrace the day with clarity and awareness.

Good morning.

Let's begin this day with a few moments in the present and grounding yourself in mindfulness.

While still laying in your bed with your eyes either opened or closed,

Begin to bring your awareness to your breath.

Pick a focus spot with the breathing.

Maybe right at the tip of your nose or on your belly as it rises and falls.

Wherever you choose,

Take five breaths focusing on that spot.

Shift your attention to your physical body.

Just notice how you feel without attaching any positive or negative judgments.

You might become aware of any aches or stiffness in your resting body and find some curiosity about the sensations you feel.

Maybe investigate how well rested and relaxed you feel.

Notice what level of energy might be moving through you right now.

While you lay there,

Consider what emotions,

If any,

Have arisen and remember to just observe them with grace and compassion.

Come back to that spot in the breath,

Watching your inhales and exhales.

Take this moment to practice gratitude for being alive and for your body's amazing capability to usher the fresh oxygen into your system.

Allow that gratitude to embrace the sensations and feelings of your body,

Whatever they may be,

Even if the world may usually categorize them as good or bad.

In this moment,

You are just free to be,

Without any pressure to change how you feel or where you currently are.

Let the sounds of your environment enter your senses and begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Slowly shift your body onto one side.

Press yourself up to seated,

Letting your feet fall off the side of the bed.

Feel the gravity pulling at your legs while they dangle,

Or maybe they land on the floor of the room,

Where you feel the texture and temperature of the ground beneath your feet.

Notice if there are any shifts in your physical and emotional state as you are now sitting upright.

Take one last breath and thank yourself for taking the time to check in with your body and choosing to start today in the present.

Flutter the eyes open and take in the space around you,

Noticing the light,

The smells,

The sounds.

May you continue to embrace every moment throughout this day,

Taking in the sensations around you and meeting yourself wherever you may be.
