Hello,

My name is Jenea Maitreyi and welcome to this guided meditation.

Today we are focusing on self-love.

If you think about self-love,

If it gives you any kind of cringey feelings,

Then we need to practice it even more.

You should never be cringey to love yourself.

You deserve your love just as much as anyone else.

So let's find a comfortable seat.

Maybe you're still laying in bed.

Maybe you're in a chair,

Tuning in to that natural breath.

We can measure how long our inhalation is by counting.

One,

Two,

Three.

Let's also count our natural exhale.

One,

Two,

Three.

Maybe your count is longer.

That's totally normal.

Whatever your inhalation count is,

Let's make that exhalation one count longer.

So breathing in,

One,

Two,

Three.

Exhaling,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Inhaling,

One,

Two,

Three.

Exhaling,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Continuing from here,

Each of our exhales will be one count longer than whatever count your inhale is.

So expanding on that inhale to be just a little bit longer.

Whatever's comfortable.

Maybe it's a count of three or four or five.

And then that exhale is one count longer.

Continuing,

We're going to breathe deeply into the belly,

Letting that navel expand away from the spine.

Nice big Buddha belly here.

And exhaling that belly button all the way back to your spine.

Inhaling.

Exhaling just a little bit longer.

You're doing great.

Continue to follow your naturally expanded breath.

Inhaling that big belly and then letting the chest rise just a little.

Then we'll exhale the chest down.

Exhale the belly.

Inhaling nice big Buddha belly.

A little bit into the chest.

Growing nice and tall.

Inhaling just a little bit more.

And then we'll exhale that chest down.

Exhale the belly button to the spine.

Repeating here if that feels comfortable.

If you get uncomfortable or dizzy at any point in time,

Just return to your natural breath.

And then you can join us again with these deep belly breaths.

If it feels comfortable for you.

We'll go ahead and close the eyes if that feels safe,

Or we can just lower our gaze to the floor.

Or if laying down to the ceiling.

Each inhale your spine gets slightly longer.

Each exhale we sink a little bit more into the surface.

Here,

I want you to imagine you're at home.

You look around and you can see your comfortable home with your belongings.

You bring your eyes to your door.

You rise and walk over to your door and you open it.

And outside is a massive,

Beautiful garden.

It's a beautiful,

Warm,

Sunny day.

You can hear birds in the distance.

You can hear a very light rustle of leaves from the breeze and the trees.

You can feel the warmth of the sun on your face.

You walk out into the garden and you can see that there's so many beautiful flowers and trees and plants.

And there's a path.

You start walking down the path.

And then you see a flower.

It's a very beautiful flower.

You walk over to it and you crouch down and you smell it's beautiful scent.

And then you see there's a word inside the flower.

You recognize this word as a characteristic of yourself that you hold deep appreciation for.

Maybe it's your kindness.

Maybe it's your tenacity.

Maybe it's how good you are at bowling.

It could be anything.

Whatever it is,

It brings a small smile to your face.

And you bring that flower to your nose and you inhale it's beautiful scent.

And then you notice next to you there is a basket.

So you decide to pick the flower and place it into your basket.

Let's go collect a few more flowers.

As you rise and look around,

You see so many beautiful flowers around you.

And one of them catches your eye.

You walk over to this flower.

Leaning down,

Smelling it's beautiful unique fragrance.

And once again you see a word.

And you relate to this word.

You feel like it is part of you.

Something about you that you really love.

Maybe you have your grandparents eyes.

Maybe you know how to deal with a problem with kindness.

Maybe you've recently gotten really good at setting boundaries for yourself.

Take a few deep breaths here to find what resonates with you.

Our next inhale,

We're going to lean in and smell the wonderful scent of this beautiful flower.

Gaze upon it with a smile.

Before we clip it and place it into our basket.

Another big inhale here,

Big belly.

Extending that spine.

Exhaling.

We rise and look around.

Beautiful blue sky.

Warm sun.

Gentle breeze.

You spot another flower on the other side of the garden.

You calmly and slowly make your way over.

And you see it there and it brings a smile to your face.

Because once again it is showing you one of the beautiful characteristics about your unique existence.

What does it say this time?

Maybe how you love running through puddles.

Or making a nice cup of tea.

Whatever it is,

We're going to lean in and smell this flower.

So grateful.

So grateful for me.

Allow that gratitude for yourself to fill in your body.

As we collect this flower into our basket.

We stand and rise and look around.

Of all the immense beauty.

We turn to walk back to our door.

Making our way step by step.

We return home closing the door.

And we see a beautiful glass vase.

Right in the middle of your home.

Maybe it's on your coffee table or dinner table or a shelf.

Somewhere you can see it.

You walk over and collect the flowers that you have picked and you place them one by one in the vase.

Reading each flower.

Feeling that gratitude,

That self love inside of your body.

Where does it live?

Maybe it's a warm glowing sensation in your chest.

And now you have your flowers arranged in your beautiful vase.

And you can return to them at any point in time.

If you need to remember the wonderful beautiful things about you.

As you gaze upon your beautiful flowers.

Let's have one more big inhale here in through the nose.

Out through the lips.

Just let it go.

We'll do two more inhaling here.

Finding some movement in the fingers and toes as your eyes flutter open.

Remember to carry these blessings that you found in your garden with you throughout the day.

And if you liked this meditation,

Please follow me for more.

Namaste.
