This is a meditation designed to help you meet and heal your inner child.

Our inner child is the 3-5 year old that lives inside each of us,

Whether we're 9 or 90 years old.

Our inner child remains between the ages of 3 and 5.

Our early childhood experiences can have a very strong influence around what we're drawn to as adults.

The inner child represents the emotional body,

The parts of us that are scared,

That are fearful,

That weren't witnessed,

That didn't feel safe,

Heard,

Or seen.

The inner child longs to be seen in the way in which we needed in those early years of our life.

Despite our caregiver's best of intentions and recognizing the massive variety in how each of us were supported and raised and cared for,

The inner child is the part of us that craves wholeness,

Craves security,

Craves safety.

Our early childhood experiences can heavily impact the level of self-worth we hold for ourselves as adults.

The inner child is the depth of who we are and the longing for acceptance within that,

To know that what she desires is possible.

It's the part of us that wants to feel safe,

To dream big,

To take big chances,

To feel worthy,

To feel safe being her full and whole true self.

What so often happens is,

In order to be accepted and loved,

We sacrifice who we truly are,

And we abandon the inner child.

This meditation is a homecoming,

If you will,

So you can return to the truth of who you are,

And you can begin to let this be revealed and connect to it as a deeper and deeper remembrance so you're not operating in a way that isn't authentic,

Or that is shaming,

Or telling the inner child within that they're not good enough,

That we self-abandon them,

That this is what we have to do when it's being done at the expense of being true and aligned and connected to the depths of who we are.

So in this meditation,

I'm going to guide you into settling in and then meeting your inner child and connecting more fully with this part of yourself so that you continue to heal and present in all of your interactions in truth,

And in that knowing that you are worthy and that you are deserving,

And those hopes,

Wishes,

And dreams,

And desires are all there for a reason,

And that you see her,

And that you support her,

I invite you to settle into a very comfortable position,

You can either be resting,

Supine,

You can also be seated,

Whatever feels right for you,

Just begin to settle in,

And just gently close your eyes,

If that feels good to you,

You can also just focus on one point,

Take a deep inhale,

Deep exhale,

Inhale ease,

Exhale stress,

Inhale faith,

Exhale fear,

Inhale alignment,

And exhale negativity.

Just observe how you're beginning to relax your mind,

And you're beginning to create a state of deeper relaxation within,

Feel into this relaxation,

And allow yourself to be here fully,

Putting anything else aside,

It can wait,

Be here fully now,

And I want you to imagine yourself on a beautiful,

Beautiful beach,

Under a palm tree,

Where you get beautiful shade,

Just the perfect amount,

Envision yourself in this space,

Begin to connect more fully to what's going on within your environment,

Really bringing attention to the five senses,

What do you see,

Maybe you see just beautiful blue waters,

White sand,

The palm trees swaying ever so gently in the wind,

Maybe you see some wildlife,

Some birds,

Connect to everything that you see in this beautiful space you've chosen,

On the beach,

Under your tree,

Put the palm tree wherever you want,

This is your time,

Your visualization,

Your experience,

What do you feel,

Maybe you feel your feet on the sand,

Maybe you feel the cool water on your ankles,

Your feet,

Maybe your hands,

You feel the wind gently touch your face,

You feel the sun hitting your skin,

Feeling that beautiful solar energy all over your body,

Taking time to connect to these sensations,

What do you hear,

Maybe you hear the birds chirping,

The waves gently just crashing,

Maybe you hear the laughter of children,

The soft wind in the air,

Paying attention to anything you hear,

Taking a nice deep breath,

What are you touching,

Again connecting to sensation,

Maybe you feel the sand through your fingers,

The texture of the tree that you're underneath,

The coolness of the water,

The warmth of the sand on your toes,

Taking a moment to connect all of this,

All of this,

What do you taste,

Maybe you taste the fresh air,

Maybe water,

Maybe nothing,

Just be here with any sort of taste sensations that you may be experiencing,

As you anchor yourself in more fully to your safe place,

Feel how your body is calm and relaxed,

And from here i want you to envision your inner child,

Keep in mind that any form of her is welcome,

Meaning maybe the 28 year old or the 18 year old version of you will show up,

But just know that it will be her between the ages of three and five,

Any version of her is welcome,

But the mind is three to five,

No matter what form she presents in,

And just call her to be with you,

Let her know that you'd like to connect with her,

You'd like to know her,

Look into her eyes and thank her for coming,

And let her know that you love her,

Thank you for coming,

I love you,

Envision yourself holding her hands,

If she's open,

Otherwise just be with her,

Just witness her,

If she's open,

Hold her little hands and give her a hug,

And just notice how she's responding,

If she's willing to connect with you,

If she's happy being with you,

Then you can apologize if necessary,

I'm sorry that you've been sad,

That you've been struggling for a long time,

I didn't know you were here,

But i'm here now,

Our inner little child,

Our inner little girl,

Little boy loves play,

And so ask them what would they like to do,

What would they like to do,

What do they want to do on this beautiful day with you,

What do you need to tell her in this play,

You are so worthy,

You are so capable,

You are so strong,

Feel this deep connection as you remember this truth within,

Envision yourself carving it in the sand with a stick or in a tree,

Maybe even using your finger to write it out in the sand,

I am worthy,

I am safe,

I am loved,

Feel this deep connection as you work with her in your body a little bit here,

Watch how comfortable,

Relaxed and happy she is playing,

Feeling seen,

Feeling supported,

Feeling loved,

Letting her know all parts of her are welcome and that you are there for her no matter what,

Now imagine just standing up on your feet in the sand,

Still underneath the palm tree,

Feeling yourself supported by the core of mother earth,

Breathe in this beautiful energy that you've just anchored in,

Welcoming in all aspects of who we are,

Giving our inner little girl or inner little boy a seat at the table fully,

Letting them know that who they are,

What they want is enough and is possible and they can let the past go,

They can let that old programming go and when you're ready,

Slowly and gently open your eyes.
