Water melts into earth like an offering of tears,
Honoring death and rebirth.
We are illuminated awake as we lean towards the season of more light.
Winds thread through our bones to remind us how interwoven we are with the rhythms of nature.
In this practice we'll attune ourselves to the energy of spring through gratitude,
Noticing,
Embodiment and visualization of snow melt,
Sowing seeds,
Tree buds,
Golden flowers,
Pruning,
New beginnings and emergence.
We can ground with the elements,
Whether they're present in our life or in nature.
So wherever you are right now,
You can close your eyes or keep them open.
Notice your next inhale and exhale.
Deepen and expand through your next inhale.
And then lengthen your exhale.
Inhale and exhale a little longer.
The exhale is like winter letting go.
Feel the inhale like spring,
Awakening you from within to newness.
Feel these words,
This prayer from within.
You can repeat the words after me silently in your mind.
You can simply listen.
You can move in any way that feels aligned with the words.
Or you can visualize as they soak in like water melting into earth.
May we stay attuned to the changing weather when we walk on the edge of seasons.
As the soil warms the waters and we immerse in our final days of cold,
Expand us wider for our initiation towards the sun.
Help us receive the gifts.
Remind us that paying attention is a form of reciprocity with all that's alive around us.
As steady as blood flows through our bodies without hesitation,
Open our vessels to embody sun melting snow as it falls from the trees,
As we let go with more ease.
Thank you for the miracle of gray and brown hues transforming into new green buds.
Attune us to the energy of rebirth in the purple violets and golden dandelions.
Show us the plant medicine emerging from a winter slumber in the soil.
Like walking barefoot on moss,
May we be gentle with ourselves as we too rise from a season of darkness.
May we walk slowly enough to notice the brief moment of a tulip still tight in the bud.
Prepare us for the new beginnings at the dawn of each day,
As we learn to honor the moment between what was and what will be.
Remind us to prune in the transition when all is dormant and the buds haven't opened yet.
In this moment between what was and what will be,
Guide our hands to remove the dead wood as we let go of the branches growing in directions that will block the light that's coming soon.
May we receive each of these branches as an offering,
With open hands and gratitude for the gift of last season's growth.
Strengthen and direct the life force within us towards what we will tend this season,
As we step from this fertile void onto the edge of something new.
Center us.
Direct us.
Ground us.
Teach us to sow the precious seeds and witness the miracle that comes from such a small but abundant offering.
Show us how to rise through darkness,
With the audacity to emerge and receive what's available.
Help us leave behind the hard shell and cold soil.
What wants to be unearthed?
As we reach upward,
Remind us of our connection to our source.
Keep us rooted and held.
Continue to wrap us in the elements of earth,
Sun,
Wind,
And rain that support the conditions for our next transformation.
Thank you for the light that pulls us into emergence from the darkness.
Teach us to care for the seedlings as they sprout in the space where earth meets sun and rain.
May the beauty that arises within us and around us become nourishment for all who are waking up,
Like great wisdom keepers carrying the golden gifts of pollen.
Thank you for these gifts as we lean towards the light,
As we humbly receive them with open eyes and an open heart.
