Hello and welcome.
This practice is focused on celebrating your well-being.
To begin,
Let's take a deep breath in through the nose,
Really fill up with air,
And exhale on a sigh through an open mouth.
Deep breath in through the nose,
Sigh it out through the mouth.
In our time together,
We're going to explore appreciation,
Appreciation for ourselves.
We'll invite ourselves by giving ourselves permission to see our own innate goodness.
So as we move through this practice,
Prioritize your comfort and ease.
At any moment,
And at all moments,
You might like to return to your precious body and its comfort,
Finding what feels most easeful and supportive to you.
So as we begin to settle,
Scan the last 24 hours of your time on this planet.
And as you scan,
Look through a lens that's flavored with kindness.
And begin to detect the moments in your life in which you contributed to goodness.
So any moment where you furthered well-being for yourself or for another being is welcome.
This might look like taking a moment to care for yourself,
Learning something new,
Drinking water to hydrate your body,
Having a moment of laughter.
Bring these moments close in.
No moment is too small.
Perhaps you contributed to your own well-being by eating a nourishing meal or taking a break.
Perhaps you helped a member of your household.
Could have completed a task that moved a project forward.
Perhaps you did something creative.
Generate as many ideas from the past day as you can.
Hold nothing back.
These moments may be micro or macro.
They're all meaningful.
Whether it's brushing your teeth,
Wearing a great outfit that makes you feel good,
Letting someone know that you care or setting a boundary,
Watering a plant or gazing out a window.
These all accumulate into well-being for yourself and others.
And this has a profound ripple effect.
So let the moments of care and well-being flow through your mind enter into your being.
Where do you recognize that you created benefit?
Did you spend time gazing out a window?
Stopping your car to let a pedestrian cross?
Challenging yourself in some way that benefited your growth.
Did you compliment yourself for someone else?
Or maybe you admired something beautiful.
This is a list of the ways in which your well-being is alive.
And can you let this be the longest list that you have?
What moments can you appreciate the moments of benefit to yourself and others?
And as you've generated so many of these moments and you've brought them close in,
What is it that you feel in your being?
What is the residue and imprint of having brought to mind these areas of appreciation that you have created?
How does it feel to be in the well-being that is alive within you?
And to move forward in a continued spirit of growing well-being,
Bring one thing to mind,
One thing that you can do today that will support your well-being.
Nothing is too large.
Nothing is too small to consider.
What is one thing that you can promise yourself?
And as you commit to this task to support your aliveness and celebrate your innate goodness,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and release with a sigh.
Be well.
Wishing you continued aliveness and well-being.
