Welcome to this short check in.

Just as if you were checking into a hotel,

You'd get your room key,

Open the door,

Take a moment or two to walk around and explore,

Might be noticing things that you like in the room,

Things that you dislike.

Does this feel okay to be in this space?

So this is a check in inside.

We're going to start just in a comfortable position that might be in stillness or it might be moving.

Start by opening the senses.

Notice the colors and objects around you the space around you.

Though sight is opening as you're noticing what you see,

You might draw attention inward periodically.

And just check out is there a particular feeling that arises with any anything that your eyes land on.

And also noticing the temperature of where you are the surfaces that your body may be meeting.

How does that feel on the skin?

And ears are open,

We're noticing sounds around us,

And maybe even within us.

Again,

Just noticing is there some inner calling,

Something happening inside as you notice these different sounds might even open to different smells or taste.

Noticing how these feel inside.

And then start to open attention to the sense of ground in the body.

So the senses are still open to around you,

To what's going on in the environment,

And to how you feel inside experiencing these.

But now we're also directing attention to where do we feel grounded?

Where do we feel centered?

Where do we feel a sense of settling in,

Or whatever word speaks for you.

This might point towards an inner sense of ease or peace.

And notice if senses come online,

Maybe there's something that you see in your environment,

Or here that helps you with this feeling of groundedness,

Ease or calm.

And as you locate this as sensation,

This feeling of ground or feeling of ease,

Just note,

Where is this in the body?

Is it kind of a settling into the surfaces that are supporting you?

Is it deep in the hips?

Is it a sense of center and comfort in the belly or heart or something else?

Really begin to sense inward.

You might even bring all of these elements inward.

If you can see what you see in this place,

In this location of the body,

What you might hear,

What you might feel,

And perhaps even a smell or taste associated.

And then from this kind of home ground within,

Begin to explore outward,

Simply noticing as many different sensations that are arising to the surface or wanting to be felt,

Wanting to be seen or heard.

Just taking your time,

Sensing your way through the body,

Leaning into any sensation that is coming forward to be noticed.

And at some point,

You may even kind of open into a broader sense,

Sense of the body,

The whole body.

The whole body as one feeling,

Breathing and flowing with breath.

This body with its feelings inside,

Its emotion,

Breathing and flowing.

This body with its home ground of peace and ease,

Breathing and flowing and feeling.

And particular thoughts may be coming and going,

May point the way towards something inside that wants to be noticed.

Where and how is this true in the body?

And then offering a sense of gratitude or opening to a sense of contentment or a joy,

Just simply it being alive.

And this joy,

Whether it comes with images or sounds,

Just noticing where this might be true in the body.

And if joy isn't present at this moment,

Simply noticing what is here that's still wanting to be felt or heard or seen.

Allowing this that's present to point towards the part of you that's observing and watching.

You might even step back into this part,

This witness,

That's simply watching the show.

And witness may point towards a vaster background,

A background of well being or deep ease.

And then begin from here to find your way back to your wakeful state.

As senses begin to come back online to the space around you.

This inner landscape awake within this outer landscape.

Note if heart is wanting to offer some calling or message.

Is there some longing this heart has that wants to be fulfilled out in your daily life?

Noticing that and maybe even setting an intention that might carry you through the rest of the day.

Letting movement come back to the body,

Awakening the physical body,

Taking some deeper breaths,

Awakening the mind.

And returning back into your daily life from this inner landscape,

This room inside.

And as you come back to the space all around you,

The senses opening back to sight and hearing,

Feeling the space around you.

Just joining back from maybe a bit more ease or a bit more contentment to follow you for the rest of your day.

Thank you.

Namaste.
