Settling breath and connect to the sensations in your body and your senses.
Allow yourself to settle and just be.
Maybe you can get a sense of gratitude for this moment.
An attitude of gratitude puts you in your natural state which is already whole,
Already relaxed,
Already at ease.
When you're in a state of gratitude you have already received.
You are focusing on what you have and what you are.
Gratitude connects you to your heart and to feeling.
An attitude of gratitude is a really wonderful thing to have in your daily life and it can be life changing.
It affects your own life and it spreads to everyone around you.
Gratitude creates happiness and brings you into presence.
Practising the mindful attitude of gratitude is a pleasurable and joyful and creative thing to do.
So just begin to explore that as you come into presence now by bringing your consciousness into your heart.
Take a nice slow deep breath as you do.
Focus on your heart in the centre of your chest and imagine the breath flowing into your heart space.
Really breathe in deeply and imagine the breath filling that area.
Be present with the sensations.
And now put your right hand and your left hand onto your heart and take another deep breath and as you breathe be present with your hands as they touch your chest.
Focus on what that feels like physically as your hands are touching your body.
Feel the warmth.
Focus in on what it feels like in your physical heart and into the energy of your heart and be present with your breath as it fills your heart.
And you might get a sense of expansion in your heart and you might find you begin to feel more joyful simply through connecting to your heart and to presence.
And in presence and stillness can you get a sense of gratitude for this moment and have an awareness of how that feels.
And just allow yourself to let go of anything that's not present for now.
Begin to direct experience perhaps sensing a contentment with this moment nurturing real appreciation for life just as it is.
Be present with simple things your breath warmth the softness of your clothes this moment of quiet and be aware of that feeling and sit with the sense of gratitude.
And can you detect any negativity you hold towards the idea of gratitude.
In the past you may have been told that you should be grateful.
Let go of any pressure or sense of should or shouldn't.
Just connect to what gratitude feels like and the things you're genuinely grateful for that are here and now.
Turn that sense of gratitude towards yourself as you are.
Not going into any thought.
Just be present with you.
Hold yourself in awareness.
Can you find a sense of gratitude for your life.
Not attached to any reasons or external factors just grateful for being.
Really for the experience of being alive.
And now allow your awareness to connect to things that are special to you.
Maybe a particular piece of music a favorite food a moment of the week you look forward to.
A special place you like to be times when you are being fully yourself.
Presence you can step even more deeply into those experiences.
You can allow for that sense of gratitude to expand.
So be really present as you enjoy them.
And as you do life becomes more beautiful and joyful because you are appreciating it.
Gratitude takes what may seem insignificant and makes it more.
So that bliss and magic can be found in all the little moments.
And you may find that the little moments begin to take up more space and that feeling of gratitude grows.
And you may find that you have more to be grateful for.
Bring your awareness back to your hands touching your heart.
And remain resting in your heart and to be present with a sense of gratitude.
Be aware of your connection to nature.
Maybe the sound of the birds,
The color of the sky,
The current weather.
You may feel grateful for a particular person in your life.
As you take another breath into your heart just hold that person in your heart and in your awareness.
Be aware of how it makes you feel to have them in your life.
Just feel that.
Be aware of what it is about that person that makes you grateful.
And as you breathe imagine that gratitude flowing from your heart into your whole body.
Just continue to breathe and rest in your heart.
And in your direct experience right now there may be things that irritate you.
There may be sounds,
Discomfort,
Unwanted thoughts.
Can you get a sense of gratitude for the lessons that life brings you as you go through difficulty,
Even though it may be hard to feel that?
Curiosity gives you the opportunity to learn,
Overcome and grow.
Can you even be grateful for contrast in your life?
So again being present with that feeling of your hands resting on your chest,
Breathing into that.
Relaxing in presence,
Relaxing into the moment.
Being grateful will encourage you to feel content with what you already have and help you stop always wanting more.
Gratitude gives you a sense of abundance which starts to grow as it becomes part of you.
To just rest now and allow those things you're grateful for to enter your awareness and experience that gratitude filling you.
And setting the intention now to take time for gratitude at the end of each day.
Gratitude brings joy into your life and gives you a brighter outlook and a joyful life leads to more joy.
Take this sense of gratitude with you now.
Begin to feel more alert and awake and ready to continue your day and be aware of how this attitude of gratitude changes your experience.
