Hello and welcome to this guided meditation on building,

Breaking and bridging habits.

This meditation is designed to allow you to cultivate and nurture habits in your life that lead to more fulfilling experiences,

To better health and to more happiness.

In today's meditation we're going to be talking about building new habits,

Breaking old habits that no longer serve us and bridging habits that we already do with an effective switch to something more positive.

So if you're ready I invite you to get into a comfortable position whether seated or lying down and when you're ready just gently closing your eyes.

Take a deep breath in now through the nose and out through the mouth.

I'm going to count down from ten and as I descend through the numbers you will feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed,

Letting go of any tension and any stress from the day.

Ten,

Nine,

Feeling more relaxed,

Eight,

Seven,

Going deeper and deeper,

Six,

Five,

Feeling the weight of your body on the surface beneath you,

Four,

Three,

Two and one.

You are now in a more relaxed,

More peaceful and more tranquil state of being,

Ready to reprogram your mind for more positive habits.

Take one deep breath in through the nose again now and gently out through the mouth,

Feeling yourself relaxing deeper and deeper.

Now I want you to bring into your awareness a new habit that you would like to build.

And now I want you to visualize and imagine doing that new habit.

How does it feel?

What value does it bring to your day?

What effect does it have in your life?

And how does it allow you to show up as the greatest version of yourself?

What positive effect does it have on those around you?

Feel the feeling of that new habit now and embrace it,

Embody it,

Become it.

And now I want you to ask yourself how you are going to introduce this new habit into your life.

What do you need to do to bring this new habit into your day?

And now with that new habit in mind and the feeling that it brings you,

I invite you to make the commitment to yourself that you are going to build this new habit in your life.

And how does it feel to bring that new habit into your day?

Making that commitment to yourself.

Taking another deep breath in now through the nose and out through the mouth,

Knowing that that new habit is now a part of your reality and your awareness.

And now I invite you to bring to mind a habit that you would like to let go of.

Something that no longer serves you and that holds you back from being the greatest expression of yourself.

How does this habit make you feel?

Why do you want to change it?

That motivation comes from within you.

And now I want you to embrace the feeling of how it will feel when this habit is no longer a problem for you.

When it is no longer in your life.

When you have let go of this habit and all of the negative effects that it might be having in your world.

Our habits are often a symptom of a deeper problem.

I want you to ask yourself what is it that makes you keep returning to this old habit?

And now I want you to ask yourself what you could do to solve that problem.

To remedy that feeling that is not this habit.

What is that one thing that you can do that will allow you to fully let go of this habit that no longer serves you.

And now I want you to imagine your life free of the burden of this habit.

Just letting it go.

Knowing that it does not belong here anymore and that it is no longer a part of your life.

Make that commitment to yourself that you are going to let go of this habit.

And how does it feel to be free now that you have let go.

Letting go of that habit.

Free to be yourself.

Really feel it and embrace it.

It's a beautiful feeling that allows you to be more alive.

More aware.

And more present throughout your day.

And to know that something no longer has control over you.

And that you now have more control over your life and your reality.

And now taking a deep breath in through your nose again.

And exhaling out through the mouth.

And now we're going to bridge a habit.

Something that you already do on a daily basis that you would like to amend,

Improve or do in a different way.

Identify and acknowledge this habit that you would like to bridge.

Ask yourself why do you want to change this habit?

What advantage is there to crossing that bridge of change to a new habit?

What value does it bring you?

What positive change will it introduce in your life?

And now envision a bridge with you standing on one side with your current habits.

And the new more positive healthier bridged habit on the other side of that bridge.

Just know that this bridge is stable,

Strong and here to support you on your journey of change.

And as you start walking across this bridge I want you to ask yourself what you need to do to be able to bridge this habit.

To be able to walk a better path and cross the bridge of change.

Imagine yourself enacting those behaviours,

Implementing those changes as you cross this bridge step by step.

And as you reach the other side now with this new bridged habit I want you to feel how it feels to have made a positive change.

How does it feel to be in that new awareness with that new habit?

How does it improve your life?

How does it make you feel?

And what impact does it have on those around you?

And now I invite you to make the commitment that you are going to continue to cross that bridge and make that change in your life.

For yourself and for those around you.

Whatever your motivation may be,

Make that decision now.

Feel that future on the other side of that bridge.

Taking a deep breath in now through your nose and breathing out through the mouth.

Just letting go and savouring how it feels to have made all of these changes.

And know that whatever changes you make internally will have a profound effect on your external world.

And be proud of yourself for the changes that you have made and the impact these changes are going to have on the rest of your life.

And know that you always have this power within you to build,

To break and to bridge any habits that you feel called to change.

I'm going to count up to ten now and after ten you will feel more alert,

More awake,

More energised and more ready to go about your day with this newfound sense of change.

Two,

Coming out slowly now.

Three,

Four,

Feeling the sensations in your body again.

Five,

Six,

Feeling a new energy stirring within you.

Seven,

Eight,

Energised and empowered.

Nine and ten.

Now with your eyes open,

Acknowledge this new world that you have created.

These new behaviours that you are forming and this new life that you get to live.

And know that from here on out you get to choose to create habits that lead to healing,

To harmony and to health.

And that the new habits you create in your life will bring you profound change and have a ripple effect on the rest of your life and will allow you to show up as the greatest version of yourself.

Remember your power.

Here,

Now and always.

Thank you.
