Welcome to your stop and breathe meditation.

First congratulations on becoming aware that you were in a space that you wanted to shift from.

You realised you would benefit from taking a few minutes to re-centre yourself and you have consciously chosen to open this meditation and take those moments for yourself to come back within,

To come back to you and to feel into your own heart's guidance.

Closing your eyes now,

Send some love to yourself for making this choice.

Be grateful for having this awareness and for the person you are choosing to be right now.

And now let us spend a few minutes simply breathing.

Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath and intentionally deepening your breath.

Notice as you take your awareness away from your busy mind and down to your breath how your thoughts become more distant.

Continue to focus on your breath,

Feeling the air as it enters your nostrils.

Feel the way your lungs and belly expand and contract and begin to deepen your breath.

Feel your lungs all the way up and all the way out and as you breathe in a deep full breath can you sip in even more air,

Filling up your lungs with as much air as you can and pause and hold your breath.

In doing this you find that still space that exists between the doing of the breath,

Between the in and the out.

There is magic in those moments,

There is mystery in those moments.

Can you feel yourself expand into this tiny moment and let go and breathe out now.

As you are breathing out take the out motion to the edge,

Squeezing every last ounce of breath out of your body.

Feel your lungs empty,

Squeezing using your muscles to just breathe it all out until you feel you are completely empty.

All the old and stale air is leaving your lungs and again hold it for a moment.

Is this space at this side of your breath magical for you?

When you are ready stop holding and allow yourself just to breathe in naturally,

Simply letting the air rush back into your lungs.

Feel it inside as it enters your body,

This is an opportunity for a new beginning,

A new choice,

New possibilities.

In this moment you are choosing to be here,

To be now.

Bringing your awareness into your body and distancing from your mind may open you to see new angles,

New perspectives or perhaps see that the thoughts you were lost in were not even necessary.

They may simply not be relevant right now.

And with one more final,

Peaceful breath,

Feel ready to open your eyes and embrace this new moment from a fresh new place where anything can happen.

Enjoy the rest of your day.
