Welcome to the affirmation meditation.
My name is Johnny and I am honored to be your guide.
Find a comfortable seated or reclined position.
As you feel ready,
Allow your eyes to soften close.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhale for a few seconds,
Exhale for a few seconds,
Inhale deeply,
Exhale fully.
And continuing with that rhythm of breath,
We will center our meditation on affirmations.
Very simply,
An affirmation is a word or phrase that has a positive meaning and sentiment behind it.
The reciting of affirmations in meditation gives our minds a point of focus that helps us stay present and engaged in the meditation,
Which can help us go deeper into the practice.
Furthermore,
As we repeat affirmations,
We consciously and subconsciously begin to align with the positive meanings contained within the words,
Which can support us changing,
Growing,
And expanding within ourselves and in our lives.
Now I will state a series of affirmations.
As I state one,
You will silently recite it to yourself for a few breaths until I introduce the next affirmation.
For example,
I may state,
I am calm.
Then you would inhale and recite,
I am calm.
And exhale and recite,
I am calm.
And so on until the next affirmation is introduced.
Let's begin.
