Welcome,

It's Julie.

Please get into a comfortable seated position.

Make sure your spine is tall,

Your hands at ease,

And slowly close the eyes.

Our life may have changed quite a bit since the beginning of the pandemic.

And our experience of this time may be adding to the anxiety that we feel.

When we can show empathy towards ourselves and accept our present reality,

It's easier for us to take control and plan our next steps more intentionally.

Trust that over time the anxiety that comes with reintegration will lessen.

Let's start by taking three deep breaths.

Focus on the breath at the entrance of the nose,

Feeling the cool air coming in and the warm air going out.

Try not to control the breath,

Just be a witness.

This may be the first time you are even aware that you are breathing today.

Let Kemp get up and go.

Now bring your awareness into the center of your eyebrows with the eyes closed.

As you gaze there,

Just allow any thoughts to come up and know that a busy mind or an agitated body is perfectly normal.

It's just the body or the mind processing stress.

We'll be here for a moment.

We'll be here for a moment.

Just notice whatever might be coming up and allow yourself to feel it.

You may be excited and scared all at the same time or you may go between different emotions from happiness to guilt to stress and you may feel these emotions arising in the body and the mind.

Just know that you are safe to sit with this and feel into it.

Just recognize this is the practice of acceptance.

No matter what happens.

Keep noticing any thoughts,

Whether positive or negative.

No need to judge them,

Just allow them to come up and perhaps see them floating away like big fluffy clouds in the sky.

When you are aware that you are thinking,

Bring yourself back to the breath at the entrance of the nose and we will be here for a couple of minutes.

We will be here for a couple of minutes.

We will be here for a couple of minutes.

We will be here for a couple of minutes.

Start to come back into the room or the space that you are in.

Slowly open your eyes and just take a moment to thank yourself for taking the time to sit.

Listen to how you are feeling and know that in this present moment,

You are safe.

May you always be compassionate with yourself as well as others on your journey.
