We'll begin with awareness.
To the anchor point of awareness of the space in which you are inhabiting both externally and internally.
Awareness is a quality of life,
You can describe it as a quality that trespasses through all boundaries,
Even your body.
So the awareness that you can place into the external realm is the same awareness that is within the same awareness and the same attention and focus that you can bring into your whole body.
We'll just begin to notice what is happening currently for ourselves,
What areas in our bodies feel tense and tight.
A reoccurring thought that keeps happening or an emotion that is coming up.
And you're standing from the place of awareness,
Not engaging yet with these tensions but we are providing a space for them to fully express themselves.
The purpose for this is to reprogram the way that we engage with these expressions as opposed to coming up against them,
Whether it's denying them or following them,
Following wherever that thought,
That emotion,
That physical tension leads you.
We're just providing a space for them to show up and to allow them to fully be seen.
This process is really unfolding so the more space that you give in,
The more that you will see and that you will be able to feel.
So don't worry if you're just starting out and this takes a bit of time,
A bit of getting used to.
Start slowly and trust the process.
So coming from the space of openness and allowing things to just be as they are no matter whatever form it is arising in,
What you do is what happens when you just allow them to show up without our own internal dialogue telling us what it is.
And maybe perhaps now you're starting to notice your own tendency to create a story or narrative around whatever is arising,
Whatever is showing up.
And if that's what's currently happening,
We want you to see if you're able to allow that narrative to coexist with whatever is showing up but you yourself as this anchor point of awareness.
You're not identifying with that narrative.
This narrative,
The story,
The thoughts that are coming up alongside whatever is expressing itself is just another form of expression happening in this open space that you are in which is awareness.
As we drop deeper into that field of awareness,
See if you can feel just the quality of lightness that happens when we're not trying to engage or sustain these narratives,
Either resisting them or going alongside them.
And there's just this instant relaxation that is naturally there.
It's a natural part of your awareness.
As you fall deeper into that experience,
You can notice that this relaxation has always been a part of your life.
That relaxation that you're feeling in this very moment is always there in every experience for you to fall into,
No matter what arises.
Part of grounding is experiencing this relaxation.
In order to ground,
We need to feel comfortable.
We need to come into the comfort that this experience is always offering us,
This space of relaxation.
And as we're starting out,
It may take a while,
And if it does,
That is fine.
Time is only a concept of our minds.
So we don't need to worry about how long relaxing is going to take,
Because relaxing is always available to us.
Whenever you're there,
Whenever you're in this field of awareness,
You can come into that relaxed state of being that is very natural to you.
