Whatever is causing stress or anxiety in your life right now,
Take a breath.
And I want you to bring this situation,
This idea,
The decision,
Whatever it is that is causing you to be in your head,
To be anxious,
To be stressed,
To be circling,
Spinning.
Bring it forward right now.
How does it feel in your body?
How does it feel to be out of control?
Are there parts of your body that are in pain,
That are tense,
That are clenched?
While you're noticing this,
Take some breaths.
And just follow the breath in through your nose,
Up and down into your stomach,
And then releasing.
These aren't big deep breaths.
They are just being aware of your regular cycle and letting yourself come into your body.
Things happen around us every single day.
Sometimes they involve people,
Situations,
Work.
We have decisions to make.
And we can get bogged down in the idea of future decisions and future choices.
We can feel pressure to feel a certain way.
We want things to be clear.
We want things to be easy.
And when they're not,
We panic.
We get hard on ourselves.
We get frustrated,
Wishing it was different,
Wishing it was easier,
Wishing we just knew what to do,
Wishing we didn't have to worry about something out of our control.
And this panic,
This frustration adds to the swirling of the stress.
Each day we have an opportunity to choose.
Each day brings us new things,
New events,
New people,
New situations.
And every moment in that day we have an opportunity to choose.
I want you to take a big deep breath in,
Holding it and letting go.
What if in this moment you didn't have to make any decisions?
What if in this moment you gave yourself permission to rest,
To stop thinking,
Searching,
Wondering,
But to just be?
Because maybe it just maybe you're not meant to make the decision just yet.
When we try and make a decision from a place of stress,
Anxiety,
Uncertainty,
Pressure,
We're stuck in the splits between two cliffs,
One foot on one way,
The other on the other.
There's no power in that.
There is no power from within.
And we know we're feeling the pressure of,
We better get to one side.
I better make a choice because this is wildly uncomfortable.
There's another option.
And the option really is to take a pause and to actually connect with yourself,
Honor yourself and let yourself just be.
Connect with your vision for the world,
For your life,
What you want to feel like,
What you want to create,
What you want to be in this world.
And just sit with that.
Because when we get clear on who we are,
How we want to feel,
The other stuff will come.
When we stop worrying about making a decision,
That's when the choice pops into our mind.
It gets to come from our heart,
From our soul.
And when we're in a state of stress,
Anxiety,
We disconnect.
So connect right now to what your heart needs in this moment and nothing beyond.
How do you want to feel?
What would you need to hear from a loved one?
And tell yourself that.
Maybe that it's going to be okay,
That you're strong,
That you're powerful,
That you're loving.
Come back to that.
Take another deep breath and breathe that in.
Breathe in your own essence and hold it,
Feeling your body tingle,
Feeling what it's like to be back with yourself for a second and let it go.
When you trust yourself,
The universe has you.
You're being held.
You're being held by everything around you.
The people around you.
So for the rest of today,
Connect to yourself.
Connect to what it feels like to be you.
Give yourself what you need today.
It is all within you.
