Find your position and make yourself comfortable.

Close your eyes.

And feel how your muscles relax.

Feel how your shoulders,

Your neck,

Your face,

And your body overall relaxes.

Feel how you calm down the moment you put your attention on relaxation.

Once you feel comfortable and you relax,

You can begin to breathe gently through your nose.

Sense the air coming in and out again.

In and out again.

In and out again.

And out again.

Feel the sensation of air going in and out in your nostril.

This sensation is your anchor in case you are drifting away with your attention.

You don't have to do anything now.

Just focus on your breath.

That is everything that matters now.

Feel how you calm down even more and see how your body relaxes and your mood calms down as well.

Now take a look at your thoughts while being in a state of relaxation.

What do you think?

Realize what you are thinking without judgment.

All sorts of thoughts can come up while meditation.

Dealing with the past and also future activities.

That means that your thoughts move you away from the present moment.

Feel how your body relaxes from the present moment.

Just be aware of your thoughts and let them go.

They do not matter now.

Some of you will realize how the mind tends to keep itself busy with thinking all the time.

But you don't have to be ruled by these thoughts.

See them as friends that have advices for you.

In the end you decide which of these advices you follow.

You control your thoughts by letting them go.

If you realize that your mind is busy all the time,

Don't judge your thoughts and don't judge yourself.

That will just bring you further away from your goal to calm the mind.

If you realize a thought coming up,

Just realize that you are either judging,

Dealing with the past or the future.

All that is not important now.

Just let your thoughts go and come back to your breathing in the here and now.

Some people will identify with their thoughts,

But if you listen to your thoughts carefully,

You will see that you are not your thoughts.

You are just being in the here and now as the thoughts are coming and going.

You will quickly realize how your thoughts become more and more silent every moment.

Enjoy this peace of mind,

Enjoy this well-being.

Now,

Enjoy this moment for yourself.

It was very simple guided meditation. Though my mind wandered a lot, in the end I feel calm. I will continue to meditate with this. Thank you soo much for simplifying mindfulness.

A great practice with good insight to start the day. I liked the idea that your thoughts are kind of like friends offering their advice - and you have a choice to take their advice or not.
