Hello and welcome to the bee breath work brought to you by the forum.

This is called Bee Breath or Brahmari Pranayama and it is called the Bee Breath because it is named after the goddess of bees.

The humming sound that we are going to create is very much the sound of the hum that bees create in a hive,

The flapping of their wings which is actually scientifically proven to heal and recreate neuro pathways in our brains which is really quite phenomenal.

It can lower your heart rate and your blood pressure,

It makes you calm and reduces stress,

It releases endorphins and can even enhance the way that you sleep.

If you would like to create a more intimate session with yourself while you are sitting doing the breath work you can actually get your thumbs and close your ears,

Press your ears closed and then place the rest of your fingers on your forehead,

Over your nose and obviously your cheekbones or your lower fingers.

This does create a more intimate and more of an intense session but for those of you that maybe feel a little bit more in the newer part of breath work I think what could be suggested is you just keep your ears open and you hum beautifully on your own.

I invite you to get comfortable,

Relax your body in a seated position either on a yoga mat or maybe on a meditation mat,

Maybe on your bed,

Wherever you feel the most comfortable.

Soften your body,

Consciously release any tension that you have and let's bring our awareness inward.

Slow your breath down,

Let's go in and sigh out your mouth,

Let's breathe in the nose again and sigh out your mouth and last one,

Let's breathe in again and sigh out your mouth.

We are going to do four rounds of 20 seconds of humming.

You are going to take a deep breath in through your nose,

Hold a little bit at the top there and then hum as we go out.

So it is going to sound like this,

My mouth will be closed and the breath will be coming out as I hum.

We are going to do this for 20 seconds each and we are going to feel like new human beings afterwards.

Let's take our first deep breath in and let's go.

Let's take another deep breath in.

Let's take another deep breath in.

And our final deep breath in and out.

I would like you to sit for a few moments and feel those vibrations ripple through your body.

Feel the healing effects on your body and let's take three deep breaths in and out,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

In through the nose and out of the mouth.

Last one in through the nose and out of the mouth.

If you feel like you really loved this practice,

You can do this in rounds of four and do three rounds of four.

This is just a beginner's practice and I wanted to show you the power of this deep breath.

I don't advise that women do this menstruating but it can definitely bring you a little bit closer to your feminine self.

I thank you for being kind and loving yourself today and I hope to spend some more time with you soon.

Namaste.

Namaste.
