This meditation is based on the teachings of Ihaleakala Hew Len and an ancient Hawaiian healing method called Hooponopono. According to Dr. Len, our conscious mind is the part of us that creates; it's the “mother aspect” of creation. Our subconscious mind represents the child, the part of us that holds our own memories as well as the collective memories that exist beyond our own time. Healing this "inner child" clears obstacles between ourselves and Source (or Divinity), allowing us to be free.

Hello,

I'm Kim McCauley.

In this meditation,

We will practice an ancient Hawaiian technique called Ho'oponopono,

A method that clears the path toward healing ourselves and whatever is around us.

According to Dr.

Hugh Len,

Who taught this method,

Our conscious mind is the part of us that creates.

It is the mother aspect of creation.

Our subconscious mind represents the child,

The part of us that holds what we remember,

As well as the accumulated memories since the beginning of creation.

When we recall painful moments,

What we feel stems from these memories,

Whether we are aware of them or not.

This meditation helps us access ways of cleansing the subconscious energy he calls the inner child and as a result,

Remove any energetic obstructions between ourselves and Source or Divinity.

As we relax into a safe space inside ourselves,

We will begin to access the part of us that needs loving attention and nurturing support,

Our inner child.

Now let's start with a few deep lower belly breaths.

As you inhale,

Imagine receiving life-giving energy and support.

And as you breathe out,

Let go.

Release any mental or energetic heaviness you might be carrying.

After breathing deeply two or three times,

Take a moment to settle back into yourself and breathe naturally.

With the rise and fall of each cycle,

Your inner awareness unfolds.

Focus now on the energy of your heart.

Feel free to place your hand there.

Your heart begins to open,

Gradually becoming warmer and warmer.

Your spirit rises as you retreat into the stillness behind your eyes.

Your heart energy has created a circle of protection around you,

A safe space for you to fall even deeper.

You may relax your hand now.

Since our goal here is to foster healing,

We ask our subconscious mind to open.

And as it does,

We see that it appears in the image of ourselves as a child.

This child is not just an image of us,

But a representation of universally accumulated memories we might be holding.

Symbolically,

The child represents a part of us that needs nurturing and support,

A part where all of our problems are stored.

When we purify ourselves and our lives of the memories,

We are not trying to change a person,

Place,

Or thing,

Just neutralizing the energy we have that is associated with it.

In essence,

We're attempting to remove judgment.

Visualizing this in our mind,

We move closer to this child.

Look into his or her eyes and say,

I love you.

I love you.

I see your discomfort and pain,

And I'm sorry for all of the frustration and sorrow you've stored and suffered.

Forgive me for all that has hurt you,

For the pain you have accepted and accumulated,

And for what you would like to have undone.

Ask the child for permission,

Say,

Please allow me to stroke the top of your head with love and concern.

And then say,

I love you.

Please forgive me for all of the accumulated woes you have within you.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry if I have not taken care of you or neglected you.

If you don't mind,

Help me to let go.

Now,

Let's take inventory first of your body for any aches and pains,

Headaches or backaches,

Say,

Please let go of the memories that are replaying as this.

As we let go,

We don't need to know the causes.

Ask permission to hug the child very gently.

Cradle the child in your arms.

Still him or her,

Thank you for being part of me.

I love you and I'm sorry for all of the accumulated memories of pain and suffering.

Please forgive me.

Now we stroke the child's head very slowly and ask divinity to set us both free.

As we say to the child,

Please give me your hand so that I may gently hold it.

Allow yourself to gently stroke the child's hand,

Acknowledging that the child is important.

Thank you for being part of me.

A part I have not paid much attention to and I am sorry.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

Now let's take inventory of our sense of security and our finances.

Please let go of whatever financial struggles you may have.

The problem is not money or finances,

But the harmful memories associated with it.

Let go of whatever memories we hold related to the abuse of money or finances.

We ask,

Please let go.

Then you say to the child,

Please allow me to hold your other hand.

As you hold the child's hand,

Gently stroke it.

Next we take inventory of our relationships.

It's necessary to look at yourself and ask,

What is going on in me that I am having the experience of these problems and issues with certain people?

Please clear these memories within me.

Please let go.

Ask permission of the child.

Would you allow me to place my hands on your shoulders?

Feel the child you love him or her.

Thank the child for being part of you.

I appreciate you in me.

Please forgive me for ignoring you and causing great harm,

Pain,

And sorrow.

Please allow me to give you unlimited love.

Look into the child's eyes and say,

I'm sorry.

Please forgive me.

I love you.

Thank you for being willing to let go so that you and I can be free of these painful memories so that you and I can walk hand in hand with divinity,

Hand in hand,

Surrounded by divine light.

As we end this visualization,

Allow your image of the child to fade into your inner landscape.

Take a deep breath and focus again on the energy of your heart.

Consciously inhale this peace,

This contentment,

This freedom.

And when you exhale,

The heaviness that you felt earlier is now gone.

As you wrap yourself in the healing energy of this whole experience,

Please know that you are surrounded by love,

Forgiveness,

And blessing beyond measure.

And so it is.
