Welcome to your meditation.
My name is Kylie.
Let's take a moment let's get ourselves set up well.
If you happen to have some earbuds I would suggest putting your earbuds in.
Turn your phone on to do not disturb and find yourself in just a nice little quiet nestly space where yeah just you know you can just settle into the shape of your body.
Just breathing now breath by breath heartbeat by heartbeat.
Let's enjoy the next 10 minutes together.
This is a meditation dedicated and themed around autumn.
So take a moment in your own mind's eye to imagine the beautiful yellows and the golds and the oranges and the reds of the majesty of what autumn looks like in our trees.
The wide girth of the tree,
The bark,
The centurions that look over us.
Using autumn as our option for evolution and transformation.
As summer gracefully transitions out the change in light is a cue that autumn's protective shield is about to lower.
The seasons actually remind us that change and transformation are with us every day and that leaf by leaf,
Tree by tree,
Beauty still prevails in each of the seasons and what they bring us in all their own ever-evolving form.
Stillness and beauty still prevails.
Gently settling into the body here.
Take a big deep breath in.
Exhale land into a deeper part of your body.
That's it.
Two more the same.
Breath in and an easy breath out.
Focus now so that the body softens underneath you.
Open wide inside.
Notice that our hearts actually interlock with our breath.
These beautiful hearts of ours have their own hum,
Their own rhythm.
We're safe.
Empty the mind.
Just tuning out the thoughts.
If there happens to be a sound that is outside that is distracting you just allow it to be its own drone.
Just allow it to be.
Don't get tangled up.
Just keep coming back to your own breath.
Feel that inhale through the nose and that big deep breath all the way back down to the belly.
Allow your heartbeat to rest inside this autumn stillness of your body.
Our bodies are smart.
They will tune in to show us the way.
Autumn is all about releasing and shedding.
As humans we don't shed leaves like our trees do but we do have the option of maybe shedding a belief of behavior,
A habit.
And in that releasing it creates space.
So just take the next few moments to think about something that you would like to create space.
What can you release to create that space?
What have you been holding on to that is just not serving you anymore?
Holds you back.
Is it silly scrolling?
What is it?
Breathing together.
Supporting each other in this contemplative moment.
Reflecting on what can we let go.
Doesn't have to be today but we have the whole of the season to let it go.
As you start maybe honing in on something.
Notice if it feels,
If there's a feeling behind that within your body.
You ready to let go?
If you haven't landed or incented on something just yet allow the theme of this meditation to stay with you in the quiet moments so that you can return back knowing it doesn't have to be done today.
You can choose when you want to let go.
You don't have to tell anybody about it.
There's no song and dance.
Just let go.
Autumn brings us this beautiful awareness to our exhale.
The exhale brings us the opportunity to exhale and release sadness,
Worry,
Grief,
Any held anger.
It could be just this tension that sits underneath the skin.
This knot could be fear.
On the wings of your exhale you can release all of that.
Notice that there is this gentle urge to slow down.
Begin to lean in and create the space.
Create a new path.
Think of yourself like that tree.
You're shedding,
You're restocking and you're relinquishing.
Just continuing to breathe,
Setting the mind free.
We've got about four or five more breaths together so take a big breath in.
Sweep that breath all the way to the top of the crown.
Use that exhale to release just tension and anxiety that sits underneath the skin.
Breath out.
Three more just in your own time.
Breathe it in.
Begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers and come out of this meditation slowly.
Maybe just blinking your eyes.
A little bit of gratitude for turning up for yourself today and taking from this meditation everything that you felt nourished you and just leaving behind everything that didn't.
My soul honors your soul.
Thank you for meditating with me today.
If you happen to be part of our Lifeline Challenge you know that you can continue to make donations and that all gets passed on for mental health here in Australia.
Namaste everybody.
Thank you.
