Inspired by the work of Caroline Myss, this meditation focuses on your first three energy centers or chakras to support your shift from a past-focused mind to a present-focused mind, drawing you into the life you want to be living. When we get quiet, and begin to observe the mind, it’s easy to see that habitual thoughts often occupy our thinking. These habitual thoughts generally stem from past experiences, causing us to limit our potential of moving into a more creative life experience. This meditation is meant to introduce you to your three lower energy centers (chakras) and use visualization and affirmations to focus your mind on what you more deeply desire for your life. Welcome.

This guided meditation will introduce you to your lower energy centers or chakras.

Chakras is how I'll refer to those energy centers.

And this meditation is intended to support you by help you condition your mind to focus on what you want and how you want to live while engaging with your chakras,

As well as drawing attention and energy away from thoughts of the past and past self definitions.

Let's begin with a brief body relaxation to help you make the most of this experience.

You can do this meditation sitting up in a chair or lying down is fine too.

If you're sitting up in your chair,

Sit up nice and tall.

You want a straight line from the base of your spine up to the crown of your head.

If you need to,

You might put a pillow in back to support your lower back.

Let your attention settle on your breath now.

Notice your inhale and your exhale.

And with your next breath or two,

Encourage a longer inhale and exhale to fully connect with your breath.

Now bring your attention up to the crown of your head.

Take a deep breath there.

Now allow your attention to begin to draw downward from the crown of your head,

Relaxing your scalp,

Softening your forehead,

Relaxing your jaw,

Loosening any tension in your face.

Breathing into your neck and throat,

Letting them soften.

And with your next breath,

Let your shoulders drop and relax.

Breathe into the top of your back and relax your chest and your arms.

Let your hands rest gently in your lap or beside you.

And on your next breath,

Soften your belly and breathe deeply in and out.

Relax your hips and your thighs.

Let your legs grow heavy and allow yourself to really focus in on your calves.

Let them soften,

Relax.

Imagine yourself relieving tension and tightness from the calves as you keep your attention there.

Now feel your feet,

Relaxing them,

Letting go,

Bringing your attention to the bottom of them,

Relaxing them and letting them melt into wherever they are resting.

Now draw your attention to the base of your spine.

This is the area of your body at your first chakra.

Trans into this part of your body from where the very tip of your tailbone rests into and around it,

Into your buttocks,

Out to the edges of your lower hips,

The very,

Very lowest part of your lower back,

Deep inward towards the base of your spine.

Keep your attention here on the lowest part of your body,

Your first chakra,

As you allow your attention to remain deep,

Deep inside here.

You may feel a little tingling,

A little waking up here.

Now as you hold your attention deep into the base of that spine,

Deep into your hips,

Into the lowest part of the trunk of your body,

See if you can bring to mind the life you deeply want.

Where are you?

Where are you living with home?

What are you doing for work?

What about for play or recreation?

What occupies your time that gives you pleasure,

That makes you feel comfortable and safe?

If you can't get a clear image,

It's okay.

Allow yourself to affirm these thoughts after I say them.

You might repeat them to yourself,

Or just say them silently,

Or just listen into them deeply.

I want to live a life that brings me pleasure and joy.

I want to reside in a home where I feel safe,

Able to live the way I desire.

I want to surround myself with people that I feel good about,

Doing things that bring me fulfillment and meaning,

Satisfaction and stimulation.

I want a place to grow into all of me.

Keep your focus on this lowest chakra,

That space in your body deep within.

Allow yourself to hold any image that comes up as part of what you want.

If your mind begins to send any messages about the past or what you don't want,

Continue to bring it back to the image and the I want statements that focus on what you know you clearly desire,

Safety,

Love,

Comfort,

Support,

Whatever it may be.

Stay here quietly for a minute and practice staying focused on this lowest chakra,

This part of your body,

And keeping your mind with what you want for your life.

Now draw your attention slowly upward to your navel.

Imagine a circle about three inches wide and deep sitting just behind and below your navel inside your hip area.

Sense the space between your upper hips and your lower waist.

And if you want to bring your hands to your belly and lower belly to keep your attention focused here,

Draw them up slowly and let them rest gently just under your navel.

Breathe into this part of your body and sense whether you feel it waking up a bit.

This is your second chakra just below the navel,

Deep inside,

Feeling into your lower back and into that lower part of your waist,

Finding that space deep and behind and beneath your navel in the middle of your body.

Now as you hold your attention here,

Imagine the kind of relationships you want in your life.

Imagine the kind of connection you're seeking from others.

Imagine yourself happily engaging with others in a way that feels satisfying and good to you.

If you can't get a clear image,

It's okay.

Allow yourself to affirm these thoughts after I say them.

You can just listen deeply into them.

You can repeat them after I say them quietly or aloud.

I want to experience full and meaningful connections with others.

I want to have relationships I trust and respect.

I want to be trusted and respected for who I am.

I want to experience comfortable and fulfilling love relationships.

I want to live in harmony with those around me.

I want all my relationships to feel positive and honest where I can be completely myself.

Stay focused on your second chakra,

This part of your body,

And allow yourself to hold any image that comes up as part of what you want.

If your mind begins to send any messages about the past or what you don't want,

About any relationships that are troubling you,

Continue to bring it back to the image and the I want statements that focus on what you know you clearly desire.

Truth,

Love,

Comfort,

Support,

Whatever it may be.

Stay here quietly for a minute and practice staying focused on the second chakra and keeping your mind with what you want.

Now draw your attention upwards to the space above your navel around your solar plexus.

This is your third chakra.

Move your attention inward to that area of your body,

Sensing into the space out to the edges of your upper waist and into your rib cage.

Allow your attention to move into the middle of your back,

To behind and inward from the middle of your back into the rib cage towards the back of your body.

Let your attention move around and then come back into that solar plexus region.

You might want to place a hand there in the middle of your upper rib cage where it feels a little vulnerable.

As you rest your attention here,

Begin to bring to mind the person you want to be in the world.

How do you want to show up in your family,

In your work life?

How do you want to communicate with others?

How do you want to hold yourself when you walk,

When you're standing and speaking with others?

How do you want to feel about yourself?

What thoughts and feelings do you want to have about how you've spent your day and what you contributed?

If you can't get a clear image,

It's okay.

Allow yourself to affirm these thoughts after I say them.

You can just listen in deeply or repeat them silently or quietly to yourself.

I speak honestly about my life.

I respect and trust the decisions I make each day.

I choose each action with clarity about what I want and what my intention is.

I show up fully for all my engagements.

I'm comfortable not knowing something and able to say that in a relaxed way.

I seek a life that feels fulfilling and meaningful to me.

I feel confident to share my inner experience with others.

I allow myself the space and time I need to live the way I want.

Stay focused on your third chakra and allow yourself to hold any image that came up as part of who you're becoming.

If your mind begins to send any messages about the past or things you don't want to repeat,

Continue to bring it back to this image and the I want statements that focus on what you know you clearly desire,

Self-respect,

Self-trust,

Comfort and peace with yourself,

Whatever it may be that you are growing and want to experience as you in your life.

We'll stay here quietly for a minute and practice staying focused on your third chakra,

Keeping your mind with what you want for yourself.

As you close out this meditation,

You might take a few moments to relax,

Let go and see what comes up as you just let go of your focus and bring your attention back to your breath.

Take a few deep breaths in and out,

Let them deepen a little bit.

Imagine I'm waking you back up.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Connect with your shoulders,

Your feet,

Your face,

Your legs,

Your jaw.

Open your mouth and when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

And if you want to take some time to make some notes about this meditation.

Thank you for being here.
