It's time to pause and remind yourself that you are in control in this moment.

You are in control of how you respond in any moment.

So just sitting comfortably and taking a moment to feel the weight of your body being held by the ground beneath you,

That feeling of being held and supported in this moment.

There's nothing you need to do,

Just simply be.

Sometimes we seek safety in things outside of us.

We believe that the external world will have the answers we are desperately searching for.

But everything you are seeking can be found within you.

Begin by taking three long,

Slow,

Deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Really taking your time with each breath and allowing your body to soften as you breathe,

Allowing your shoulders to drop,

Unclenching your jaw and letting each and every muscle relax with every breath.

Your mind may be busy and racing with thoughts,

But know that in this moment you get to choose which thoughts you hold on to and which thoughts you let go of.

Maybe bringing to mind a thought that might be helpful in this moment.

I am safe now.

I am safe now.

I am safe right now.

There's nothing I need to do.

There is nothing I need to do in this moment.

I will choose to make decisions when my mind and body feel calm and grounded.

And breathing in this sense of confidence,

Knowing that you get to choose how you respond.

Breathing in this sense of safety and exhaling any fear.

Letting go of any fear.

I'm taking a few more long,

Slow breaths as your mind resets so that you can move forward with intention rather than urgency.

There is no rush.

Take your time.

Placing your hand on your heart as you soothe yourself and repeating the words in your mind or saying them out loud.

I trust that I will be okay no matter what.

I trust that I will be okay no matter what.

And giving yourself a hug before you move into the next part of your day.
