Welcome,
Everyone.
My name is Margot,
And this is the Deep Rest Guided Meditation.
As you come into this practice today,
I invite you to feel what draws you here.
As you hear these words,
Deep rest,
What is it that you really want?
What is this experience of deep rest?
And what if you could even have a taste of it right now?
What is it?
I don't know what it could be like.
Just let this true desire for deep rest support your deepening through this meditation.
I'm just going to invite you just to notice the surface that you're sitting on,
And we'll start there.
Yeah,
So let's bring things on to help you feel cozy.
So we'll start with,
I don't know what it could be like right now,
Just as we start into this journey of rest,
Really so simple,
Just to notice the surface that's holding your body in this moment,
Just aware of if it's hard or soft,
Warm or cool,
As you start to become more aware of this surface that's holding your body.
Somehow that can be a signal,
Just for whatever's aware,
To start to open and drift even more deeply down.
Really good.
And you may become aware of some other sensations that are in the body,
Some other ways that you're feeling this support.
You may notice that there's actually nothing that you need to do,
That your body is just held and breathed right now.
Just the awareness of this allows some part of you that was holding yourself together.
That's it.
You can start to let go.
And you can drop down even deeper.
Really good.
And I wonder,
Just as you drop down even deeper,
If you could be aware of your feet,
Wherever they're resting,
And just aware of this energy that's inside the feet of the body,
And that somehow even just being aware of them,
You can feel how your feet have permission right now just to rest exactly the way that they are.
You may even become then aware of your legs,
And just how there's really nothing to do.
You can just rest exactly the way that they are.
Your knees,
Thighs,
All the way up to where the torso is needing the legs.
Once there's a part of the body where there can be so much holding,
Just as awareness comes into this part of the body,
You can feel something open and rest.
The cells or the space between the cells.
That's it.
There can be more space,
And something can open and rest.
Perhaps awareness even comes up through the belly and the heart area,
And just perhaps there can be a sensing through the heart area,
And noticing just what's here.
You may become aware of little places of contraction,
Little places of holding,
And just as you become aware of these places of contraction or places of holding,
With the next breath,
You can feel them open in some way that they may not have been able to open before.
With that,
You may feel awareness through the throat,
Into the jaw and the mouth,
And I don't know what it could feel like to even just perhaps allow a little hanging open there,
Where something can.
.
.
That's it.
There's something through this where there's this energy of what needs to be said,
What needs to be spoken.
If just for a moment,
The awareness in this part of the body allows that energy to rest,
Open,
And sink down.
And just in that,
You may even feel how the mind,
Which may have been active in all this or not,
Something soothes through the brain and the neurons that usually fire so intensely and so quickly,
Where you can feel how there's permission now,
Even for the neurons to rest.
With that quick firing and almost electric energy,
Actually to come to some kind of quiet.
That's right.
And there may even be a color or a tone that can support this,
Something that can nourish and soothe all of these neurons that fire so intensely.
That's right.
Something can just help soothe there,
So you can feel this energy really start to come to a deep rest.
And as this energy comes to a deep rest,
You may feel some nourishing,
Soothing color or tone start to wash down from the brain through the whole body.
Energy comes down the arms and the hands,
Down through the heart area.
This nourishing color or tone bathes down,
Pours down through your whole being.
There's such a sense of spaciousness and quiet,
Even as things may be happening.
There's full permission for this right now.
And in this full permission for this deep rest,
There may be some part,
Some part that has been the hidden part that all the activity has been covering over and getting away from.
Yeah,
Some part.
Perhaps it feels selfish or mean or wrong.
And as everything quiets,
Start to become more deeply aware of this part.
And this part that all of the activity has allowed you to ignore,
Move away from.
And in this moment of deep rest,
Something can be discovered about this part.
Something that you couldn't see or feel before can be discovered now.
I don't know what it is,
But you do.
And in this discovery,
You can feel how something changes.
As this part that was covered over is now allowed.
Now we met,
Seen,
Received.
You can feel how something changes.
You can feel how something changes.
That's right.
And even with this discovery,
You can feel how there is this possibility of an even deeper experience of rest.
Yeah.
And as this part perhaps dissolves and can rest even its boundaries of separateness.
And then it can relax,
Open and rest so deeply that it is absorbed.
And in that,
You may feel all of the boundaries of even what you call you.
To rest and relax and open.
And so that there's actually no separation,
No distinction that is you and other.
No distinctions that are right and wrong.
No distinctions that are here or there.
Or past or future.
In this deep rest,
All separation can release its hold and rest.
So deeply.
This pure source.
Pure silence.
Endless.
Boundaryless.
And here on this rest in silence,
As silence.
For a moment.
That's right.
And I don't know what it could feel like from this place of deep rest to somehow allow the apparent solidity of this form.
Come back into some kind of incarnation or appearance.
But you can still stay so deeply at rest.
Because deep rest is what you are.
So there doesn't even need to be a you who stays and a rest.
Rest is you.
Even as you sense more into this form.
And perhaps the body starts to shift and move on the chair.
And you start to become more aware of what's ever in the room that you're in.
Sounds.
May even be permission.
Yeah.
For your eyes to gently open for a moment,
And you can close them again.
And to stay as rest.
As though the words deep rest are your name.
And I don't know if the eyes are willing to open.
And what it can be like just to experience the space that you're in as deep rest.
And recognize that everything you see also has this name,
Deep rest.
So thank you all so much.
