This is the practical side of my talk "The secret to a good night´s sleep." I´ll reveal two secrets that will help you fall asleep when you need to. If you really put these two techniques into practice, you can connect with your unconscious mind and give way to a deep night's rest and you can sleep as soon as you put your mind to it.

Close your eyes.

Take one deep breath.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Imagine that you pour all the events of the day into a glass.

All your plans,

Conversations,

Information,

Ideas,

Emotions.

Imagine that they are ice cubes falling into a glass.

A little by little they melt.

We need to be able to put our ego aside to be able to sleep.

It's grasp from control.

We have to relax.

And notice how the ego wants to control sleep.

Like it wants to control life.

But dreams only present themselves in a relaxed mind.

In a mind that trusts and surrenders.

When you close your eyes,

You walk into your own personal screen.

Into your mental home.

If you are relaxed,

The screen will show shapes,

Lights,

Colours.

Surrender to what's presented on your screen.

If you start to think of events of the day again,

Or plans,

Imagine that they are melting blocks of ice.

This might be hard at the beginning,

But slowly,

Little by little,

You'll create a new habit for sleep.

The more you use these tools,

The easier it gets.

Try not to be tempted to describe what you see or feel.

Dreams are made of images.

Concepts bring the ego.

What is your direct experience?

Give space to your experience without naming or judging it.

What is your direct experience?

Give space to your experience without naming or judging it.

Remember to breathe when those shapes,

Lights and images come to your screen.

Let them move as they do,

As they will,

While you continue to breathe.
