Hello and welcome in this new exploration.
Today you are going to relax your fascia tissue thanks to your body voice.
Your fascias are like a second skin that holds you to permit fluidity in your movement,
A good proprioception and sustains vital functions like digestion and breathing and many other things.
So this playful exploration will especially help you if you are experiencing chronic pain,
If you encounter physical pain in your artistic practice,
Whether you are a drawer,
A painter,
A writer,
A singer,
A dancer and simply if you need to release tension.
I am Marion,
The founder of the Body Voice Flow practice.
I help highly sensitive persons,
Soul leaders and spiritual artists to free their voice,
Take care of their path,
Body and mind with a holistic and creative approach.
So to begin,
You can sit in a comfortable position and we'll start by making contact with our body.
Just listen to your breath.
This is a voice in itself and you have nothing to change.
Your breath is like a wave and I invite you to focus your attention on your ribcage.
On a scale of 0 to 10,
How high is your relaxation in your ribcage?
Considering that 0 means no relaxation,
Full tightness and 10 is full relaxation.
Now I invite you to put your right hand on your left lower ribs with a gentle touch and if you can put your left hand above your right hand just under your chest so that you can embrace the left part of your ribcage.
Feel all that you feel under your hands.
It can be the movement of your ribcage,
The temperature,
Maybe some sounds or tiny movements inside of you.
Maybe tension.
Receive everything under your hands.
And now we will just gently pull our skin towards the center of the belly.
So just take your hands and roll your skin horizontally towards the center of your belly and you don't have to pull that much you know just one centimeter as if you would like to translate your skin a bit and hold your skin in that position.
So you should feel a little tension and compression that is not painful,
Just like a gentle stretch and hold on.
Breathe and then add a sound just like me.
Ah Release everything.
Breathe in.
Draw your skin towards the center of the belly.
Hold on and breathe out with a sound.
Try at your own pace.
You can vary the duration of the note.
You can try with a high note,
With a low note.
It's your choice.
Just each time release the tension and then come back.
Stretch your skin and do the sound and then release everything.
And we'll do the same on the other side.
So put your left hand on your right lower ribs.
Put your right hand just under your chest on your ribcage.
Feel the temperature,
The texture of your body,
The movement under your hands.
This is a somatic touch and then we will add this vocal touch.
So breathe in and pull your skin gently stretching it and then while breathing out add a sound and release your hands.
Come back.
Observe the difference,
Maybe the contrast between the tension and no tension,
Sound and silence and do it again.
Breathe in and stretch.
Breathe out and sound and release everything.
Put your hands on the sides of your body and just receive vibrations,
Sensations,
Maybe tingles in your fingers.
You know,
Sometimes we're so overwhelmed by our daily life that we don't even notice tightness in our body.
So this gentle expiration allows you to reconnect to nuances,
Nuances.
These little differences of sensation are so important to really know yourself deeply and get in touch with what feels good,
What feels true to you.
So now I've got a question for you and I will be glad to read you in the comments.
On a scale of 0 to 10,
How high is your relaxation in your rib cage now?
And you know relaxation can mean different things.
It can mean spaciousness,
Warmth,
A sensation of freedom,
Confidence,
Self-confidence,
Just a sense of expansion.
So look at this number and tell me if you want to share it.
And you know a number,
It's just a number,
It's just a tool,
A practical tool to help us to refine our awareness.
So be gentle with yourself and evaluate this with self-compassion.
And sometimes we don't notice much change but trust your body,
Trust your voice.
These tiny things are so important to help you gain some,
You know,
Self-care,
Attention.
So if you want to practice more,
I invite you to discover the other tracks.
Maybe you would like to relax your belly,
Your diaphragm,
Your face.
So this track is part of the series called Relax With Your Body Voice.
So please let me know in the comments how was your experience with your body voice.
