Lesson 1

Day 1: Introduction

Welcome! Today’s objective is to understand the concept of self-love—how it is foundational to our growth, and why we often struggle to love ourselves in a world that demands perfection and sacrifice. We examined how a lack of self-love manifests in our lives and the powerful benefits of embracing self-compassion. The theory for this section states that self-love isn’t about achieving perfection or relying on external approval. Instead, it is about embracing yourself wholly—your strengths, imperfections, and all—while prioritizing your well-being, which lays the foundation for personal growth.

Lesson 2

Day 2: Curate A Gentle Inner Voice

Welcome Back! Recap last session: In the last session, we explored the foundation of self-love and its importance in personal growth, well-being, and relationships. We learned how self-love is an ongoing practice of acceptance and self-compassion. Today’s objective is to understand how to create and nurture a gentle inner voice that supports self-compassion and self-acceptance. The theory for this section states that our inner voice is shaped by past experiences and influences how we treat ourselves. A gentle, kind inner voice fosters self-compassion, while a harsh inner critic can erode self-esteem and well-being.

I absolutely loved this course, and I listened to the lessons over again after I finished the first time. The lesson in which you spoke about the sense of mattering was one of my favorite. Also, I found the final lesson dealing with self love to be very helpful. I taught school for many years and we had to read a book by Dan Siegel at one point. I agreed when you pointed out that we often seem to be culture of separation and that regular self care such as daily journaling is extremely important. Thank you for all of the thought and time that you clearly put into each and every lesson.
