COURSE

Introducing Mindfulness | Part 1 Of 3 | Paying Attention With Curiosity And Care

With Patrick Kozakiewicz

The Introducing Mindfulness course is built on the framework of the original Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program. It is for use in everyday settings, offering a taste of 3 key MBCT themes and practices, and exploring how these can support us personally and more broadly in our life/work context. Part 1 focuses on the what and how of attention. “Attention is one of my most important resources, but I’ve never valued it before.” (Shannon Harvey from her film “My Year of Living Mindfully”). You can expect to learn: - Learn what mindfulness is and isn’t through an analogy of attention - Explore how we can train our attention to support us in everyday life - Try some short mindfulness practices (research-based) to train our attention and enhance our awareness
