Hello everybody and welcome to the meditation channel.
Let's begin.
Close your eyes and get yourself in a comfortable position.
And taking a moment now to breathe in and breathe out.
Giving yourself permission to just soothe your mind,
Soothe your heart.
And relax as best as you can.
Today's meditation is designed to help you become aware of how to manage a stressful situation.
How to be your best in the worst situation.
Life is unpredictable,
Life throws challenges at us constantly.
And this is the part of us that must grow and learn to handle any situation no matter what.
Who you are at your worst is very important because it shows you how far you have grown,
What you must improve and essentially how you can handle any situation smoothly.
Because you have the power and the choice in how you react.
I know it may not feel possible at times.
At times it may feel like too much.
But this is why we're here.
In the end,
It's how you process the outside.
The conversation that you have with yourself during these moments.
And learning to soothe your mind,
To be on your side and to not create more chaos than necessary.
How do we do that?
Well,
Let's rehearse it in our minds.
Let's practice it.
Let's visualize it.
Let's prep ourselves for the inevitable.
First thing is first,
Your breath.
Your breath has the power to change your mind,
To change your state of being in an instant.
And so at any moment that you find yourself in a stressful situation,
Immediately bring your attention to your breath.
Controlling your breath is key.
And so now I want you to bring up a time,
An event or something in your life that has caused you immense stress.
Where you have not reacted at your best.
Where you may have created even more chaos than actually soothed the situation.
So take a moment to bring up that memory.
That event in your mind.
And really take a moment to replay the event.
Think about where you were.
Who were you with?
What was happening?
And maybe even pay attention to the extreme details of the temperature in the air.
The time of year.
Whatever it may be.
This is not about punishing yourself.
This is not about putting you down.
This is about self-awareness.
So as you rehearse the event,
Just notice how you reacted.
Just be the observer.
Okay.
Now let's bring in the breath.
Now let's bring in the breath.
Let's take ourselves back before the event happened.
Before the emotions rose.
And by replaying this moment,
You notice that you are stressed.
You notice that your emotions are being triggered.
And so you take in a deep breath.
And let it go.
Again.
Breathe in.
And let it go.
Slowing it down now.
Again.
Breathe in.
And letting it go.
Again.
Breathe in.
And gently and slowly letting it go.
Again.
Breathe in.
And now visualize yourself releasing that stress through your breath.
Let it go.
Again.
Breathe in.
And letting it go.
And gently letting it go.
And returning your breath to its natural rhythm now.
Noticing how your breath not only shifts your mind but energetically and it releases the tension in your body,
Giving you some level of control.
Now.
How would you have liked to have handled that situation?
What would you have liked to have done differently?
So let's begin with our thoughts.
What thoughts did you have?
And what thoughts do you want to replace those thoughts with that would actually serve you and calm you down?
And so play that moment again.
But this time we are going to change the thoughts that we had.
Change the thinking pattern.
Are you comforting yourself?
Are you encouraging yourself?
Are you telling yourself to relax and to be present?
What is it that you're telling yourself in this moment?
Are you encouraging yourself?
Are you telling yourself to relax and to be present?
What is it that you're telling yourself in this moment that is different?
And just notice how these thoughts are influencing your body.
How much more your system calms down.
How your fire turns into water.
Gently soothing your nervous system and bringing a sense of trust and security.
And now let's replay it again from the beginning.
Knowing that we had taken a moment to breathe.
And knowing that we are going to change our thoughts.
And now how would you have liked to have responded or reacted differently?
This time you're interacting with the environment.
So what are you saying?
What are you doing that is different?
In what ways can you be graceful,
Calm and still in the eye of the storm?
Now let's play that.
Now if it wasn't the way that you really envisioned it,
That's okay.
Let's go back again and do it again.
The beauty of the meditation here is that you have time and you have the chance to perfect it.
To make it the best version that you possibly can for yourself.
So that you can find security in yourself.
So let's go back again and replay it.
And remember how could you be your best in the worst situations.
Again.
Feeling the shift of emotions,
Being on your side,
Listening to your needs and trusting yourself in this process.
Very well.
Now take a deep breath in again.
And let it go.
Letting it all go now completely.
Just returning now to the present moment where you are.
Taking a moment of reflection.
For what you have learnt.
For what you have understood.
Now remember,
Life will throw challenges at us all the time.
You have a choice in how you react.
You have a choice in how you process every moment.
This meditation is helping you understand this,
Practice this.
So when the challenge does arise,
You have rehearsed it enough times in your mind that you will become a master in real life.
Okay,
It's time to come back now.
So slowly,
Slowly bringing your awareness back into your body.
Back into the space.
Take your time to return gently and slowly.
When you are ready,
You can return and open your eyes.
