This is a guided meditation to calm overwhelm.

As we begin,

Please ensure you are in a safe place to close your eyes and that you are not operating any machinery.

Additionally,

I encourage you to check in with yourself and ensure that your body is offering a wholehearted yes to this process.

Trusting this is the case,

Take a deep breath in,

Filling your lungs with fresh air,

And then exhale slowly,

Letting go of any tension or worries from the day.

As you feel your tension soften,

Allow yourself to become 10% more comfortable,

Whatever that looks and feels like for you.

Now,

Imagine yourself standing at the base of a tall mountain.

You can feel the cool breeze on your face and see the snow-capped peak towering above you.

As you begin to climb the mountain,

You notice that the path is steep and rocky.

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

You can do this.

You are doing this.

As you climb higher and higher,

You begin to feel a sense of overwhelm and doubt.

You wonder if you will ever make it to the top.

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

You can do this.

You are doing this.

Then,

Almost as in a vision,

You remember the symbolic meaning of a mountain.

Mountains,

In all of their complexity,

Height,

Crevices,

And beauty,

Represent the self.

It represents you,

At your core,

Your essence.

You take another step,

Integrating.

The overwhelm,

The fear,

The doubt,

It's not just this journey.

It's your journey.

It's you.

You take another step,

Integrating.

Knowing this,

You ask,

What parts of myself am I overwhelmed by?

What parts of myself am I afraid of?

What parts of myself do I doubt?

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

As you notice these parts of yourself,

You breathe in again,

Honoring all parts of you.

Breathing in and breathing out.

All of you is welcome here.

All of you is safe.

You begin to feel a sense of strength and resilience within yourself.

You realize that,

Like a mountain,

You have the ability to hold all these complexities,

And yet be internally stable.

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

With each step,

Your overwhelm softens.

Your doubt subsides,

And your confidence grows.

Simply by witnessing it,

Your healing begins.

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

This is all becoming so clear in this moment.

The path,

Despite its obstacles,

Overwhelm,

And doubt,

Is your way home.

And you can do this.

You are doing this.

You are safe here.

Breathing in,

You take the next step.

Seeing all these things,

And gaining all these positive learnings now.

Visualize yourself reaching the top of the mountain,

Feeling strong and empowered.

Feel your body and mind becoming more relaxed and centered with each passing moment.

All you have to do is be.

And all you have to be is you.

And you,

And all your complexity,

Are the path home.

Now,

Take a few more deep breaths,

And slowly open your eyes.

Take a moment to reorient yourself to your surroundings,

And know that you have the power to overcome any obstacle that comes your way.

Remember,

Like the mountain,

All parts of you are welcome to the table.

And by owning all your parts,

You claim calmness,

Inner stability,

And resilience.
