Hello and welcome.

My name is Melissa.

Today we will practice mindfulness to process the feelings of stagnation,

Which is low energy and might be hard to notice.

You might feel stuck,

Not sure what to do about it.

But in this practice,

By being with the feeling fully,

We can help it move forward with compassion.

So begin by making yourself comfortable.

Finding a posture with your back straight and upright,

Allowing you to feel relaxed,

Comfortable and alert.

Feel the weight of your body on the surface you're on.

Feeling that support coming from beneath you.

Your chair,

The building,

The earth supporting you.

Feeling your body take up space around you.

Hugged by the air around you.

And supported by this space.

Noticing how you're breathing.

Noticing each step of a breath cycle.

Air entering your nose,

Through the back of your throat,

Into your chest and belly.

With that slight pause before air exits through your mouth,

Your chest and belly contracting.

So much happens to allow a full cycle of breath.

The breath is always in the present moment.

Now shifting your attention to your whole being.

I can noticing her entire body slightly moving with the pace of her breathing.

Allow your thoughts and feelings to emerge as they need to.

Today we are addressing the feelings of low energy,

Low vitality.

It might not be a strong emotion.

So it might be harder to notice.

But it is still a feeling that we can witness and experience more fully.

Staying curious and kind and see what needs to come up from inside you.

Can you name any thoughts or feelings in your own words as they come up?

As you notice your thoughts and opinions,

You might notice there's analyzing happening.

There might be a retelling of certain stories.

There might be judgments.

And try and see if you can label each of these thoughts and categories.

Whether it's telling a story,

Or if it's judging,

And so on.

Once you label them,

Gently acknowledge your awareness of these thoughts and try and let them go so that you can witness the next feeling next thought that needs your attention.

When we're coming from a place of low energy,

It might feel like there's not a lot to notice.

And at the same time,

Being with that feeling might mean extra to yourself to the part of yourselves that do need attention and understanding.

By not trying to change by not judging,

You're offering a space of safety and kindness.

Sometimes this companionship with yourself is what is needed for energy to start flowing again in its own time.

Now noticing how you're feeling and what you're thinking about right now as compared to when you started the practice.

Is it possible that you've discovered surprising connections,

Or deeper associations beyond what you were feeling at first?

Now acknowledging how empowering it is that you can support yourself in this way.

That this is kind attention you can give yourself anytime you need.

Now gently,

Let's get ready to close this practice.

Moving your attention once again back to your breathing.

Following the breath,

Beginning from your nose,

Down to your chest and belly,

And then exiting,

Feeling them contract the air exiting you.

Feeling present in your physical reality.

Whatever you notice,

Whatever happened or did not happen in this practice,

You know that it all counts.

That there's no wrong or right answer.

There's no better or worse outcomes.

Because your practice,

And your presence is what mattered.

You're present and ready to continue your day.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes.
