Hello,
Welcome.
Ombites.
Today's meditation is entitled,
Rested Results.
Now,
We know when we feel rested and we know when we feel tired.
And when we act from a fatigued and drained energy state of mind,
It shows up in the results of our work,
Our relationships,
And our overall contribution to the world.
However,
When we feel rested,
Cared for,
Rejuvenated,
This too shows up in the world,
Coming from a very different place.
A place of openness in your heart,
Inspiration,
Gestures of care and affection toward others.
So we must practice resting.
Whether we're sleeping resting,
Taking naps resting,
Resting from a digital detox perspective,
Or even resting the mind while awake in meditation.
This is critical time spent.
And to know thyself better,
Come to a very comfortable seat.
Close your eyes.
Tap into your body and relax.
So notice what you're feeling at this moment.
Are you feeling rested?
Are you feeling depleted?
Or anywhere in the middle?
The spectrum is vast and colorful.
Maybe you feel mentally rested but physically tired.
Maybe you feel physically energetic but mentally tired.
Many combinations,
Many possibilities.
Our aim is to align our inner energy with the external so that we may be in flow.
And the results are always better when we come from a harmonious,
Natural and authentic place.
Drop into your bones and practice resting here.
Take your time.
Find a greater sense of ease in the body.
Start there.
Let your eyes fall heavily in their sockets.
Notice if you're holding tension in your face,
Lips,
Jaw,
Tongue.
How about in your forehead and temples?
Notice any inner urges to reach and fidget.
Go and do and change your current situation.
Completely release.
Give yourself permission to drop in and recharge.
It's uncomfortable to sit still.
So rewire your brain,
Urge after urge after irritating urge.
Stay and be still.
Maybe imagine a conversation you've had with someone who's very agitated,
Short attention span,
Completely distracted.
It's contagious.
So in this moment for yourself,
Toward yourself,
Practice this beautiful gift of presence.
Be still.
Witness and be available to your experience.
It may seem boring.
So refine your inquiry and rest.
Where did you go?
Come back into your experience.
Anchor yourself by identifying a few names for your experience.
Communicate with yourself.
Nothing to be ashamed of.
No secrets to hide.
Relax across the heart space and become a little bit more vulnerable.
You will thank yourself and so will the world.
Take a big belly breath in and a long and easeful breath out.
Namaste.
