This exercise helps you accept and heal physical and psychological problems. If we accept our physical and psychological issues we are demonstrating an aspect of love, and only love heals. Through acceptance, we can make contact with the issue and hear its story and see what we need to change in our life or forgive in our minds.

So if you'd like to find a comfortable position and close your eyes.

Let's start with a few deep breaths.

Come aware of any sounds around you and just accept them.

Become aware of the chair that you're sitting on.

Move your feet on the floor.

And now silently count backwards from 15 to zero,

Feeling yourself becoming more relaxed as you count.

With the next breath,

Just breathe into your legs,

Tense the muscles,

And then relax.

Breathe into your stomach,

Gently tense it,

And then breathe out and relax.

Breathe into the arms and make fists of the hands,

And then release.

Breathe in and squeeze the shoulder blades together,

And let go.

If your neck is feeling a bit stiff,

You can move your head around.

Imagine you're sitting in a beautiful bubble of golden white light,

That only the highest good can come through.

And now we invite,

Using whatever word you want,

The Holy Spirit,

Jesus,

Your guides,

The angels,

The goddess,

Send out a prayer.

They won't come against your free will,

So let's invite them in now.

Be with you in this exercise and guide it.

Now bring to mind an issue that you have,

Could be a physical problem,

Psychological problem,

Someone you dislike or yourself you dislike,

Or if you wish,

You can turn to your guides and say,

What is it I need to heal at this moment?

See what they have to say.

If nothing comes,

You can just choose someone you don't like.

Now make the issue real for you.

If you have physical pains in your body,

That's easy.

You just bring your awareness there,

Not trying to change or fix anything.

If it's a psychological problem with a person or yourself,

You can remember the time when you felt it,

Perhaps anger or sadness or jealousy.

Bring it back to mind.

Make it real.

Feel the emotion in the body.

Any emotion is fine.

Anger,

Rage,

Self-pity,

Just welcome it.

Feel it.

Be with it.

Don't try and change it.

Whatever the feeling,

It'll be reflected somewhere in your body.

Go and find it now.

Where are you holding this reflection of unforgiveness in your body?

Or if it's a physical pain,

Just go there now.

I want you to accept it and make friends with it.

How large is this area of discomfort?

Where does it start and stop physically in your body?

What shape is it?

How deep does it go into the body?

Can you see a colour there?

How dense is it?

Does it feel any hotter or colder than the rest of your body?

Let's go through one more time.

Is it still the same size or has it changed size?

How about the shape?

Is that still the same?

How deep does it go into the body?

Any changes in the colour,

If you saw a colour?

Any changes in temperature?

And what about the density?

Now,

How is it feeling?

If you were to talk to it,

What could it say?

Is it happy?

Sad?

Irritated?

What emotion can you feel there?

And accept whatever you find.

You can listen to it for a while.

So you've done a good job of accepting it without trying to change it or fix it.

It's not used to being accepted.

Turn to your guides now and ask them to give you some sort of symbol,

Some sort of picture that describes this issue,

This pain.

Just let something spontaneously arise.

And again,

Just accept whatever you see,

Whatever this picture may be.

This is what you made,

This is what you've been carrying,

Perhaps a long time,

Because you feel it serves you in some way.

It may be painful,

But it serves you in some way.

You can ask it.

Why did I make you?

Why do I keep you?

And now ask yourself,

Is it time to be free now?

Is it time to let it go and walk into a new life?

And you must mean this.

It's all right if you still want to keep it.

But if you do feel it's time to be free,

Turn to your guides and say,

Please transform this picture into a healed picture,

A healed symbol,

And see what happens.

If you get a new picture,

Do you want to keep this or do you want to go back to the old one?

I know the choice is fine.

In front of you,

There are two doors.

On the left is the old symbol above it,

And on the right above the door is the old symbol.

And through those doors are two different lives,

Two different timelines.

You can look through both if you like,

Or you could just choose finally to walk through one of them and see what that new life holds for you.

Take what time you need to finish the exercise.

And then when you're ready,

Bring yourself back to the room.
