Hey,

Welcome to this meditation for muscle repair and recovery.

This moment together is designed for you to activate your parasympathetic nervous system,

Allowing your cells,

Your muscles,

Your bones,

Every single tissue in your body and your skin to recover and rest,

Renew.

So get comfortable in your body whether that's lying down or seated and allow your eyelids to close as you just modify your position in any way so you can rest,

Relax and soften.

Let your arms just rest naturally,

Palms facing up,

And start to take deep breaths in through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth.

Begin to tune into the rhythm of your breath,

That rhythm that feels just right for you today,

Just what your body needs to feel nourished,

Held,

Allowing your exhales to lengthen naturally all that inhale,

All that exhale,

Softening and deepening,

Allowing your body to know that it's safe to rest,

It's safe to start healing,

Each and every breath is a signal to your body that it's okay to slow down and bring all of your awareness to this body of yours.

Acknowledging the effort your body is making every single day for you,

Those workouts,

How every time you work out,

Move your body,

Every muscle becomes stronger and your heart gets healthier,

Allow yourself to honour all the work you've already done and allow yourself to enter this space of healing.

I'd like for you to imagine a gentle wave of healing light,

Maybe of your favourite colour,

Starting at the top of your head,

Imagining this light flowing down like water washing over every muscle fibre,

Moving this colour down,

Soothing inflammation,

Carrying away any waste,

Stimulating repair.

Feel that light,

That colour moving through your shoulders,

Loosening the tension,

Down your arms,

Relaxing the biceps,

Triceps,

Forearms,

Down across the chest and the back,

Replenishing any fatigued muscles,

Taking care of your spine,

Allowing your core to be filled up with this colour,

This light,

Supporting digestion,

Regeneration and balance within all of your internal organs and all those abdominal muscles.

As you let all this light and colour flow into your hips,

The glutes,

The hamstrings,

The quads,

Large powerful muscles now soaking in recovery and rest.

As you flow down your calves and your feet,

Where energy releases deep into the ground,

All the way out of your feet,

Breathing deeply and feeling the body just become lighter,

Softer,

Healthier.

Now allow yourself to visualise yourselves working like a well-coordinated team,

Those muscle fibres being rebuilt,

Micro tears being repaired,

Inflammation calming,

Nutrients flowing exactly where they're needed,

Blood delivering oxygen,

Washing out anything that you don't need,

Anything that your body already knows how to dispose of.

Reminding yourself that every time you rest,

Every time you give this space to yourself,

Your body already knows how to go into deep repair.

Each breath brings more oxygen,

Oxygen that every cell,

Every bone,

Every muscle in your body needs to restore,

Recalibrate every cell working in harmony,

Trusting the process of recovery,

Leaning into that gentle balance,

That gentle rhythm of your body doing what it does best.

Allow yourself to also be appreciative of this process not only for how your body looks when it's healthier and stronger,

For how it shows up for you every single day,

Day after day.

Thanking your body for your power and your resilience,

Thanking your body for allowing you to move and lift and run and train.

Now thanking yourself for offering your body this moment of rest and care.

Whenever you feel ready,

You can start to bring your awareness back into your breath,

Taking 3 deep restorative breaths,

Every inhale imagining drawing in strength,

Every exhale releasing any left over tension and stiffness.

Now gently wiggle your fingers and toes and allow yourself a gentle stretch if that feels good.

When you're ready,

You may open your eyes and continue with your day.

Remember to give your body exactly what it needs throughout the day to soften deeper,

Recover deeper.

Whether that's stretching,

Drinking water,

Feeding yourself and nourishing foods,

Taking a nap or some extra hours of sleep during the night.

Whatever feels best for you,

Make sure you offer that.

To your body for the next couple of days as you recover and as you get stronger.

Thank you for being here,

We'll see you on our next meditation.
