Hello and welcome to this meditation to help you ease into any change or transition in your life.
My name is Juana and I am honored to have you here with me.
Let's start by settling into the here and now with three deep conscious breaths together.
Ensure you are seated comfortably with a straight spine,
And when you're ready,
Inhale in through your nose as deeply and fully as you can,
Hold it briefly at the top,
And exhale out through your mouth,
Allowing an audible sigh of relief.
Again,
Breathe in fully,
Filling your lungs to the very top,
Feel that breath expanding your chest outwards,
Hold it there,
And audibly exhale right out.
One last breath,
Here we go,
Big inhale,
As much air as you can handle,
Hold it there,
And let it all go with a sigh as you feel your chest collapse back down.
Treble in the sense of aliveness within you as you settle into a calming,
Slow breathing pattern,
Your cells fueled by the oxygen you just fed them.
Believe it or not,
You aren't exactly the same as when you started this meditation.
On a deep cellular level,
About 330 billion cells are replaced daily,
Equivalent to about 1% of all your cells.
In 80 to 100 days,
30 trillion will have replenished,
The equivalent of a new you.
In the last couple of breaths you took,
Think about how much has already changed inside of you,
Thousands and thousands of cells.
Breathe that in deeply for a moment,
Your body is always working to keep you alive.
What is that telling you?
The truth of the matter is that life is filled with change.
Even though things may look like they are staying the same day to day,
They aren't.
Your body is constantly regenerating new cells,
The weather is always changing,
As is the earth.
It's just that some changes are easier to accept than others,
As they may not be so obvious.
Everything has a beginning and an end,
And things that were there yesterday,
Might be gone tomorrow.
Even changes that we've wanted for a very long time can actually be quite difficult when they come to fruition.
Reflect on a season in your life when you desired something really badly,
And then finally got it.
Perhaps it was that cross-country or border move you'd been wanting to make,
Or the new job you landed.
How did you feel?
Sure,
Maybe very excited at first,
But didn't all that excitement come with its fair share of doubts and uncertainties,
Fears of failure,
Or simply wondering if it was really the right choice in the end.
Our minds can have a hard time dealing with change because of our deep desire to be in control so we can protect ourselves,
But our bodies,
On the other hand,
Intrinsically go with it.
A divine intelligence,
Mother nature flowing through the cycles of birth,
Death,
And rebirth.
Go ahead and bring to mind the change that you're facing.
What do you think about this change?
What do you feel or even fear about it?
Some changes can be so profound that they shake up who we know ourselves to be.
Allow any and all thoughts,
Emotions,
Or resistance around this change to surface without any judgment.
Don't try and change them,
Simply observe and accept as they are.
Find yourself some loving kindness for what you are going through.
You may be beating yourself up about not having it all together like you think you should,
But pushing against unwanted emotions only makes it worse.
Instead,
Embrace where you are right now with full compassion.
You are where you are,
And where you are is perfectly alright.
After all,
Now is the jumping off point to where you want to go.
So once you stop pushing against where you are and instead settle into it,
You can start to see the path forward.
It's like walking across a bridge from your old self to your new self.
As you move forward and take a look behind,
The bridge to your old self has collapsed.
You can no longer go back there,
So why stay stuck?
And although the path ahead of you is uncertain because you haven't crossed it,
That is the only direction you can really walk towards,
There's no going back,
So you may as well move forward with confidence.
I'd like you to take this time to reflect on some of the instances in your life where change seems scary,
Almost insurmountable.
Is there a particular moment that stands out?
Now that you're standing on the other side,
How did you learn and grow from the situation,
Even if it didn't seem like it at the time,
Were you left that much better off because of the experience?
Then isn't it wise to think that this too will pass and you'll be that much wiser for it?
Express some gratitude for the growth and learning this change can offer you.
Reflect upon the opportunities it may bring.
Imagine yourself successfully adapting to this change with confidence and resilience.
What would that look like?
How would that feel like?
In what ways will you have grown?
Who will you have become?
Embody that future self now in your mind's eye.
Take these next few breaths to allow your inner voice to speak to you and offer you any words of advice or wisdom.
If nothing comes through,
That's okay,
Just sit with your breath and be.
Affirm silently to yourself by repeating after me,
Allowing each affirmation to sink in fully.
It's okay to feel the way I feel.
This too shall pass.
I am right where I need to be.
Nothing has gone wrong.
Everything is leading me towards my greatest good.
This change will bring about positive growth and expansion.
I can deal with anything that comes my way.
I got this.
And so it is.
Visualize roots extending from the base of your spine,
Anchoring you to the earth beneath you.
Connect to a deep sense of stability and security as you feel the earth's energy.
Allow it to support you as you move on with the rest of your day.
It's now time to transition out of this meditation.
So when you're ready,
Wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And gently open your eyes.
Thank you so much for joining me on this journey of embracing change.
Let me know what sort of transition you're going through right now and what you hope will come out of it in your review.
I always love hearing from you.
As always,
Follow along for more to come and connect again soon.
Have a wonderful day.
