Change the way you think about your body by returning to a place of love & self-forgiveness. We can aspire, we can affirm, we can chase...but to effectively choose a new direction beyond self-doubt, anxiety & confusion we must first slow down, remove our expectations and zone in on how it feels to feel welcome not just in our bodies - but our experience of ourselves. Profound and unique, Oliver guides you in this meditation in his characteristically heart-led & imaginative way.

Hello.

In this meditation we'll be getting you body confident.

Now right now that might seem just a little daunting,

But don't worry.

Wherever you are on your journey,

Right here,

Right now,

In relationship with your body,

I've got you.

You've got you.

And by remembering and calling in that larger part of you,

A lot of your worries will just melt away.

And over the verge,

Over the hill,

There lies a whole new world of possibility,

Positivity,

And love between you and your beautiful body.

So first off,

Just start by taking a deep breath in.

Breathing in for the count of four,

And letting go for the count of six.

Breathing in to the count of four,

Holding for four,

And breathing out.

And just letting your breath come to a steady,

Nice,

Relaxed rhythm.

And as you hear my voice,

As you sink into its depth,

You just relax,

Relax,

Relax.

Breathing in,

Feeling that breath expand in every direction,

Like you're gently blowing up a balloon,

Right in the core of you.

And then when the time's right,

When your body feels ready,

You just let it all go.

So just breathing in and breathing out,

Without over-identifying,

Just gently bringing to mind all of or any of the reasons that brought you to this meditation today.

And as those come to mind,

You just stick with the breath.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Taking a step back,

Almost like these thoughts,

These reasons,

They just become like characters in a movie.

And as you breathe in and breathe out,

You become aware of the energy,

The will,

The desire behind this quest.

Somewhere,

Some part of you knows a more authentic,

Loving relationship and experience of your body is possible.

Part of you is calling that in,

Making room for it within your body,

Within your mind,

Even within your bones.

So take a deep,

Almost sharp breath in,

And again let all the way out.

And just breathing in and breathing out,

Whatever pace feels good for you,

In a way you're anchoring that connection to that part of you that knows a more loving,

Exciting,

Playful and confident experience of your body is possible.

Breathing in and breathing out of that place in you,

That place that can feel and long for something different,

Without complicating it,

Without putting obstacles on the road.

The desire,

The feeling,

The knowing and the wisdom in you just is.

So let's set about bringing what we see into vision,

Into focus and into resonance with that part of you.

So just again,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Taking a step back,

Feeling the lightness of my voice,

The humanness of my voice and the humanness in you,

As you kind of relax and release even more,

Becoming more and more light-hearted.

You feel that flow down from the top of your head,

Through your neck,

Down through your shoulders,

Down your arms and into hands.

You feel and welcome that flow down through your chest,

Down through your core,

Feeling all of that awareness,

Presence and even blood as you relax down into your core.

That heaviness rolling warmly and slowly down into your hips,

Spreading out into your lower back,

To your groin,

Into your bum and rolling down your thighs,

Relaxing into your knee,

Your ankles,

Into your feet and all the way to your toes.

It's almost as if your eyes just roll up into the back of your head and any pressure,

Heaviness and even concentration just melt back from the front of your head,

The front of your brain,

Into the middle and as you breathe out you feel yourself journey down from the middle of your mind,

Down through your neck,

Down through your spine,

Into the middle of your chest,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Just making that connection,

Just allowing yourself again to relax,

Relax,

Relax,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Gently just feel into that immovable part of you,

Feel how it can hold all of your pain and all of your joy at the same time,

Feel how it can hold all of your limitation and all of your possibility at the same time too.

It's as if you're melting out into all of your body from your spine in every direction,

Out into your sides and your ribs,

Out into your back,

Down into your hips and your legs,

All across your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your breasts,

Your neck,

Your throat and up into your head and warmly down your arms and into your hands.

Feel that health and that vitality in your body,

Connect with that sensation.

As you connect more and more with this sensation today and in every moment herein,

You become more aware,

Your internal compass gets set to this feeling and it helps you feel better in yourself and it helps you make wiser,

More aligned,

More profitable for you and for everyone else in all of your decision-making.

You feel yourselves relaxed,

Your muscles relaxed,

Your bones relaxed,

Your skin relaxed and any chance,

Any possibility in you now just to console your body,

Anywhere where it might feel stepped on,

Stepped over,

Not honoured,

Sad,

Reluctant,

Afraid.

Breathe in and breathe out and know that you can feel,

Express and be in all of that energy all at once.

Even if it's difficult,

Do not doubt all of those dots that are being joined up.

You're here,

Like a warm song into the deepest parts of you,

A bit of space now just to chant that mantra,

Anchor your mind and your thoughts on these words,

On this feeling.

I am here,

I am here,

I am here.

As you breathe in and breathe out,

Your awareness within your body,

Within your memory,

Within your life,

Within your idea of who you think you are,

Your awareness,

Your inner eye may hop from place to place and as you remind yourself,

As you feel so deeply that that phrase,

I am here,

Eventually becomes a celebration,

A celebration of all that you are and some of that force,

Some of that violence that we wield against our own bodies starts to soften,

Starts to relax.

Guiding yourself,

Breathing in and breathing out,

Anchoring your mind on those words,

Repeating them,

Either silently or out loud to yourself,

Within yourself and the space around you,

I am here.

And still gently breathing in and breathing out,

Just placing your hands all over your body,

Wherever feels good,

Gently moving them and placing them on yourself and it's as if through each fingertip as you gently move them across your body,

Even across your face,

Gently feeling the textures and the sensation,

Each little ripple of that experience echoing within you,

Within your fingers,

I am here.

And as you roll your shoulders maybe or wriggle your fingers and your toes,

You take your time,

You notice a lack of intimidation,

It's a really good feeling,

As you're more and more in harmony with that part of you that never really forgets the truth of here.

The music will play out and I encourage you to come round in your own specific way,

Whether that be fast,

Slow,

Just know,

Just walk,

Talk,

See and be,

Knowing calmly,

Knowing proudly,

Here.

Take care and be well.

I'll see you again soon.

Bye for now.
