Hello everyone,

Welcome to this loving kindness meditation for choosing yourself.

Sometimes we do so much for others,

Always looking after another person,

And forget about the one person that needs looking after,

Yourself.

This meditation will help us with this,

To dive deep into your heart in a loving manner.

Seeing your very own situation in a compassionate way.

So let's just close our eyes and come into this space right now.

Noticing how your feet and legs are positioned.

You could be sitting or lying down.

Just gently noticing how your legs touch the bed or the chair.

How your feet are positioned.

They could be firmly planted on the ground or in the air.

Checking in with your body.

Maybe you haven't done this in a while.

Maybe you've done it more recently.

It's okay.

Just noticing how you are feeling right now.

Any feeling that's coming up is absolutely acceptable.

It doesn't matter what it is.

Maybe you're feeling a bit low today.

It's okay.

Then taking a big deep breath in through the nose.

Breathing in peace.

And breathing out through the mouth.

Breathing out stress.

That's it.

Now visualizing a version of yourself that is identical to you coming into the room.

Notice how you are looking.

Notice the smell in the room.

Notice what you are wearing.

You know this person more than anyone in the world.

You know their struggles.

Their trials.

Their insecurities.

Their fears.

You also know that this person tries their best.

For whatever they feel is right in their life.

At any particular moment.

They may not get it right all the time.

But they try.

Now repeat the following sentences after me.

Talking to this person directly.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peaceful.

May you have love and kindness inside of you.

Just wishing them the best.

Noticing how that feels for you.

It's okay if you feel discomfort.

It may not be usual for you to talk to yourself in this manner.

It could be the unknown for you.

Moving a bit closer to this person now.

Looking them right in the eyes.

And saying to them.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peaceful.

May you have love and kindness inside of you.

Well done.

Leaning into the feeling of whatever comes up.

You see you've had anxiety before.

You've had stress before.

You've had fear before.

Now it's time to have compassion.

For the one you look so dearly in the eye.

Yourself.

Visualizing touching the person's heart.

As you touch your own.

Repeating the following phrases to them after me.

May you be happy.

May you be healthy.

May you be peaceful.

May you be loved.

May you be full of love and kindness to yourself.

Very good.

How do you feel now?

Embrace this feeling between you and you.

All this person needs is a bit of love.

Coming closer to yourself.

And visualize giving yourself a huge hug.

Embrace yourself.

You absolutely deserve this.

And say to yourself the following sentences.

May you be healthy.

May you be happy.

May you be at peace.

May you be full of love for yourself.

May you be full of kindness.

Excellent.

Then you realize that the person you were hugging has gone within you.

It has reunited.

It has made it into its own home.

It's safe space within you.

These feelings of love and appreciation for yourself will stay inside of you.

You are brilliant.

You are powerful.

You are loved.

Then as this meditation comes to an end.

Noticing once again the position of your legs.

Stretching your body.

Coming back to this moment.

Then opening your eyes.

I hope you really connected with yourself during that meditation.

And had some appreciation for the strong person that you are.

All the power and all the strength to you.

I will see you soon.
