Hi,
My name is Orit Krug,
Board certified dance movement therapist and trauma and relationship expert.
Today,
I would love to guide you through a movement-based meditation to help you set an intention that is easy and effortless to follow through.
Many times when we set intentions,
We do so from our intellectual cognitive brain and we don't include our bodies and that often ends up in knowing what your mind wants,
But not being able to follow through with the behavior.
So in this meditation,
We'll make sure your body's on board so that you have the best possible chance to meet your intention with ease and flow.
Now it's time to set an intention for your day,
Your week,
Or maybe even a specific event.
Set this intention around how you want to feel or what you want to achieve by the end of this time and make it realistic enough to achieve.
You might want to feel more energized by the end of today.
You might want to have a difficult conversation with your partner without reacting,
Without losing your cool.
You might want to find more moments of calm.
Whatever your intention is,
Breathe it in and exhale.
Now keeping your intention in mind,
I want you to visualize how you would move your body.
How would you hold your body if you were to follow through on your intention?
You might even visualize that you're walking down the street a certain way or that you're walking from room to room in your house a certain way.
Maybe if your intention was to take things slow and not rush,
You might actually see that you're moving a lot slower in your week or your day.
So see how you might be in your body,
Live in your body differently if you were to truly follow through on your intention.
And when you have that visual,
Begin to invite organic movement into it.
If you want to slow down,
You might invite slow movement.
If you want to feel more open in your relationships,
You might actually do movement where you're opening up.
Your arms open,
Maybe you're taking up more space around you.
Your intention is to be more assertive.
You might get up right now and walk with a little bit more impact,
With a little bit more strength,
Feeling your power.
Allow your body to feel what it would really be like to align with your mind's intention.
When you do,
You'll know what it feels like to have met your intention by the end of the day,
The week,
Or the event that you're thinking of.
Remember this movement.
Take it with you and come back to it if you notice yourself disconnecting from your intention.
I hope you have the day,
The week,
Or the event that you truly desire.
And if you feel called to,
I would love and appreciate your feedback in a written review.
You deserve to meet your intentions with ease and flow.
