Welcome to the infant loving kindness meditation.

Parents,

Before we begin,

Have a photo of a loved one the child knows ready to go.

It can be a physical photo or a photo on your cell phone.

Also,

For the beginning of the meditation,

Either have a hand-held mirror ready or go to a mirror in your house.

Let's do a loving kindness meditation with your child.

We are going to send love to a loved one in your lives.

Make sure to be at eye level so your child can download your calm and match your higher emotional states.

Take a deep breath.

Close your eyes.

Think about love.

Feel the love in your heart.

Tell your child the loved one you are thinking of.

Let's do a love meditation.

Parents,

Put your arms across your chest like you are saying the word love in sign language.

Think about what love feels like.

It's time to look in the mirror.

First you are going to love yourself.

Cross your arms over your chest.

Breathe in.

Extend your arms outward and send the love out to yourself.

Say I love you.

Now show your child the photo of a loved one.

Look who it is.

You love this person.

Think about this loved one.

We are going to send love to this loved one.

Breathe in with your arms across your chest.

Exhale and send the love out to this loved one.

Say I love you.

Thank you for doing the infant loving kindness meditation with us.
