Welcome,

First responder,

To your meditation.

It has been created for you in gratitude.

I invite you to find a comfortable space and a place to lie down or recline on your back.

Take the time to get comfortable.

Use pillows and blankets and get really cozy.

This is your time.

It is your turn to take care of you.

Lying on your back with your spine elongated and straight,

Close your eyes.

Thank you,

First responder.

Thank you for your service.

Thank you for your kindness.

Thank you for your compassion and your care.

Thank you for your willingness to serve in such challenging conditions.

As you're laying there,

Becoming more and more comfortable,

I invite you to bring a gentle awareness to the area around your heart and behind your breastbone.

With your awareness at your breastbone,

I invite you to just allow your body to relax,

To allow your body to begin to feel how it does when you're going to sleep.

Slowly and totally relax.

With your awareness at your breastbone,

You can notice how your body is breathing.

Maybe you realize that before you started this meditation,

You were holding your breath.

I invite you to let your body breathe you.

Just watch as your chest gently expands and contracts and breath goes in and out.

If you start to feel uncomfortable in your body as it relaxes,

That's okay.

Acknowledge that you've been holding on to a lot of stress.

Your responsibilities have been big and now your body is ready to let that experience leave.

Allow your body to get comfortable and relax while you keep your awareness loosely and your chest behind the breastbone.

As your body begins to feel more tired,

Your mind might start to rally and invite you into thoughts.

So I invite you back into awareness around your heart as you continue to let your body relax even further,

Allowing your body to fall asleep and your mind to be able to observe quietly and calmly.

And as your body enters the deep sleep state,

Your mind is quiet.

You may notice emotions coming up,

Things that you felt in the past or witnessed in others these past few weeks or months.

Let whatever emotion comes up flow out as you allow your body to continue to sleep in your mind just to know that the emotions coming up are okay as they leave.

And then keeping or bringing back your awareness to the area of your heart and around your heart behind the breastbone as you allow your body to continue to rest.

And as you lay there resting quietly,

Body asleep,

Emotions calm and mind quiet,

Clear,

You may have a sense or an awareness of the softness of the energy around your body,

The color and the support that you have beneath your body,

That in this moment you're safe and in this moment you're supported and you have everything that you need.

Allow yourself to feel safe and supported.

Still keeping a loose awareness around your heart and inside your chest behind your breastbone.

Body continuing to relax.

Truly the body is asleep.

I invite you if you have the time to continue to lay here,

Allowing your body to sleep.

Your mind to observe and your emotions to be calm.

For in this state your body is healing itself.

Your emotions are restoring and your mind is aware.

Stay clear and more brilliant level.

First responder,

Thank you for your service and thank you for taking the time to care for yourself.

See you.
