Welcome.
My name is Andrea Ashley and I'm super grateful to have you here today for our third eye chakra meditation.
We'll start by coming into a comfortable seated position with a lengthened spine and hands placed on the knees or thighs.
Take a few moments to settle in to ensure you are comfy cozy in a place without any distractions.
Once you have settled the physical body,
Begin to bring your awareness inward.
Letting go of any tension,
Stress,
Worry.
Just take a few moments to try and let some of us go.
Begin now to bring your awareness to your breath.
Without making any changes to it,
Simply observing the inhales and exhales to help bring you into this present moment.
Today we are focusing on the third eye chakra.
In Sanskrit it is called agnya,
Which means to perceive.
This chakra is the sixth out of the seven primary chakras along the spinal column and is located between the eyebrows and is associated with the color indigo.
The energy of the third eye is all about intuition and perception.
If your third eye chakra is unbalanced,
You may notice you ignore your intuition or that gut feeling.
You may have rigid opinions or feel stubborn.
May be strongly attached to outcomes or become overly logical or emotional and may even manifest physical symptoms such as headaches,
Sinus or vision issues.
If you have an overactive third eye chakra,
You may be cynical,
Closed minded or experience mood disorders.
On the other hand,
If it is overactive,
You may feel ungrounded,
Constantly living in a dreamy state or habitually daydreaming.
When a third eye chakra is balanced,
We are self-aware,
Connected with our intuition and generally feel clarity and emotionally balanced.
Bring your awareness back to your breath if you've lost it.
Taking a few more natural breaths here.
We'll now begin to integrate our intentional breathing,
Introducing nadi shodhana pranayama,
Which is alternate nostril breath.
If you haven't done this before,
You're going to bring your left hand onto your lap,
Palm facing up,
Placing the peace fingers of the right hand on your third eye.
You will be closing the right nostril with your thumb and the left nostril with your ring finger when instructed.
With your hands in place,
You can begin to close the eyes.
We'll just start by taking three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
In through the nose and this time out through the nose.
Last one in through the nose and out through the nose.
We'll now begin to block the right nostril with the thumb and inhale now for one,
Two,
Hold for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six and then exhale through the left nostril for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale through the left nostril for one,
Two,
Hold for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six and exhale through the right nostril for two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale through the right nostril for one,
Two,
Hold.
Exhale through the left nostril.
Inhale through the left nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the left nostril.
Inhale through the left nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the left nostril.
Inhale through the left nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the left nostril.
Inhale through the left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Continuing practicing this breathing pattern at your own pace.
If this feels like too much for you,
That's absolutely okay.
You can release this breathing pattern and just come back to a natural slow and deep breath.
Either way,
Continuing to breathe at your own pattern at your own pace.
Oh,
Perfect.
Letting go of your Nadi Shodhana breath pattern now if you continued on with that.
And we will all begin to bring our attention to our third eye chakra.
Envisioning an indigo light in between the eyebrows.
With your eyes remaining closed and your focus on your third eye chakra,
Take a moment to observe how it looks.
Notice the shape,
The size.
Notice any and all visual aspects of this area.
Reaching your attention now to how it feels.
Are there any sensations,
Any tingliness?
Notice anything that may be going on in your third eye chakra.
Notice how it is functioning.
Is it moving?
If it is,
In what direction?
At what speed?
Does the light seem bright when it's coming out of this chakra or does it seem small or dim?
Just take a few more moments to observe anything else that may be coming up for you in this chakra.
Begin to bring your attention back to your breath now.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Slowly and deeply.
Breathing in and breathing out.
With every inhale,
Try to visualize breathing in indigo light into your third eye chakra,
Watching as the glow from this light starts to expand.
With every in-breath,
You pull in more fresh indigo light,
Allowing it to fill your third eye chakra and spread outwards.
Breathing in intuition,
Self-awareness,
And insight.
Breathing in beautiful indigo light into the space of your third eye chakra.
Breathing out any ungrounded feelings.
Breathing in self-awareness.
Breathing out confusion.
Breathing in intuition.
Breathing out cynicism.
Breathing in insight and understanding.
Breathing out narrow-mindedness.
Breathing in intense,
Beautiful indigo light.
Breathing out ego.
Continue to breathe slowly and deeply and repeat after me.
I always honor and follow my intuition.
It is safe for me to see the truth.
I am in touch with my inner guidance.
I learn from my life challenges.
These are my spiritual lessons.
My mind is open.
I connect with my higher self.
I am connected to the universe.
Everything is connected.
I am connected to my true path in life,
My purpose.
I seek to understand my experiences.
I trust my intuition.
All that I need is within me.
I trust that my life is unfolding as it should.
I expand my awareness.
I always honor and follow my intuition.
It is safe for me to see the truth.
I am in touch with my inner guidance.
I learn from my life challenges.
These are my spiritual lessons.
My mind is open.
I connect with my higher self.
I am connected to the universe.
Everything is connected.

My purpose.
I seek to understand my experiences.
I trust my intuition.

I always honor and follow my intuition.
I always honor and follow my intuition.
I always honor and follow my intuition.
I always honor and follow my intuition.
Begin to bring your hands together.
Begin to rub them quickly to generate heat and energy.
When you feel you've created enough,
You're going to softly place the heels of the palms over the eyes,
Letting the fingers rest over the third eye and forehead.
DON'T FORGET TO Nine United Generations remaining closed,
Gently release the hands,
Bringing the palms together at heart center in Anjali Mudra.
And take a moment to thank yourself for your practice.
Thanking your mind,
Body,
And breath,
Your patience,
And your effort.
Wishing you a beautiful day.
Namaste.
