Namaste,

My name is Rakhi and today we'll do a gentle guiding meditation for bonding with your unborn child.

Let's begin by getting comfortable.

You may lie on your side with a pillow between your knees or sit supported with your back and very relaxed.

Let one hand rest on your heart and one hand gently on your belly.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and a soft breath out through your mouth.

Again,

Breathing in gently and breathing out slowly.

Allow your breath to settle into a calm,

Natural rhythm.

There is no one else you need to be right now.

Nothing you need to do,

This time is just for you and your baby.

Bring your attention to your forehead as you relax your body now.

Let it soften,

Let your eyes rest gently in the sockets and clench your jaws,

Soften your tongue,

Relax your shoulders now.

Feel your chest rise and fall with every breath.

Soften your arms,

Your hands,

Gently relax your back,

Your hips,

Your legs,

Your feet.

With every exhale,

Imagine releasing any tension,

Any worry,

Any tightness from your body.

Let it gently drain away,

Down into mother earth.

Bring your awareness now to your belly.

Just notice your beautiful growing belly,

The home you're creating for your baby.

Allow your whole body to feel heavy,

Supported and safe.

Now gently bring your attention to your heart,

Feel its natural rhythm,

Steady and loving.

Bring the awareness to your home,

The space where your baby is resting.

Imagine a soft,

Warm,

Glowing light in your heart and with your next breath in,

See that light gently flowing from your heart down into your womb.

Imagine your heart and the baby's heart connecting with this glowing light of love,

Two hearts beating in one body in total harmony and love.

Lightly or softly,

You can say to your baby,

Hello baby,

I'm here with you and as you feel that connection,

Just feel the love flowing from the centre of your heart to the centre of the heart of the baby.

You don't have to do anything special,

Just intention is enough.

Imagine your baby floating peacefully,

Wrapped in warmth,

Safety and love.

With each breath,

Imagine your calm flowing into your baby,

Your peace,

Your love,

Your gentle presence.

Now imagine your womb as a soft,

Glowing sanctuary,

A peaceful,

Sacred room filled with gentle light.

With every inhale,

Draw in more of this loving light.

With every exhale,

Let it spread through your womb,

Your heart,

Your entire body.

This light gently cleanses and refreshes you,

Washing away any stress,

Recharging your energy system,

Restoring your strength.

You can silently repeat,

My body is a loving home for my baby.

My baby is safe,

Loved and supported.

I trust my body and my baby.

My baby and I are meant for each other and my body is the perfect place for my baby to grow.

Let these words sink into your heart,

Recharging the body.

Now imagine that every breath is filling your body with warmth,

Cold and energy,

Like soft sunlight gently pouring into you.

This energy flows into your head,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Going down into your chest,

Your belly,

Your hips,

All the way down to your legs,

Into your feet.

Anywhere you feel tired or heavy,

Imagine this light gently lifting and refreshing that space.

Silently say to yourself,

I'm recharging with every breath.

My body knows how to care for my baby.

I am calm,

Supported and strong.

Allow your body to rest deeply now.

There is nothing you need to fix,

Nothing you need to rush.

Now as you send love to your baby,

Just imagine sending a soft wave of love from your heart into your womb,

Like a gentle hug made of light.

Try to say to your baby,

I love you my baby.

You are wanted.

You are safe.

We are in this together.

Rest here for a few slow breaths,

Just by being together heart to heart.

Gently bring your awareness back to your breathing.

You can either pause this session here and be with your baby for some time longer.

Or you can start to notice the rise and fall of your body again.

Becoming aware of your whole body,

Your breath,

Your breath.

Wiggle your fingers and toes softly.

Roll your shoulders back if that feels good.

Take one last deep breath in and a slow breath out.

Silently thank yourself for taking this time to connect,

To bond with your baby.

Thank your body,

Thank your baby for choosing you as his or her mama.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes slowly.

Carrying this calm,

Loving feeling with you into the rest of your day.

Hope you enjoyed this meditation.

Namaste.
