Let's begin finding what you need to feel comfortable and supported in a reclined shape.

Allow this to be a gentle practice,

One that is guided by your comfort.

As you begin to settle,

Your eyes may soften,

And if it feels right for you,

Allow them to close.

Shifting your gaze from the outer world to the one inside,

Your internal vision.

Feeling your eyes being gently supported behind your eyelids.

This is an invitation to rest,

Resting your body,

Your mind,

And your nervous system.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Allowing each breath to come and go.

Your breath is a bridge between body and mind.

Notice what is taking place in your body as you shift from the busyness of your day into this moment of quiet.

This quietude is an opportunity to be nourished and find sweetness in just being.

All is well here in the sweetness of just being.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Releasing and relaxing a little more with each breath.

Relax the space between your eyes,

Your forehead,

And the crown of your head.

Ears listen to the body at rest,

Jaw softening,

Cheeks and cheekbones relaxed.

Head of mouth and tongue all relaxed.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Chest gently rising and resting with each breath in and each breath out.

Neck,

No tension.

Back of neck and throat soft.

Shoulders,

Shoulder blades melting down.

Inner back body weightless,

Effortless.

Hips being supported by the ground beneath you.

Arms,

Hands,

And fingers.

Each finger at rest.

Legs,

Feet,

And toes.

Each toe relaxed.

All the parts of the body together as a whole.

Whole body supported.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Allowing each breath to come and go.

Inhaling and exhaling through your nostrils.

The little gateways into the temple of your body.

This body that houses you.

Flesh,

Bones,

Your heart,

Your beautiful wild light.

Feeling your breath moving through your body like a gentle wave.

Making space as you breathe.

Making space as you rest.

Taking another deep breath in and another deep breath out.

Beginning to bring some small movement to your body.

Perhaps inviting a stretch or a yawn.

Wiggling your fingers and toes.

Maybe rocking your head from side to side.

Taking this moment to observe how you feel.

Notice any vibration,

Sense of warmth,

Your heartbeat,

Your breathing.

Taking your time to inhabit this space.

Awaken to the mystery of being here.

Enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.

Have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.

Receive encouragement when new frontiers beckon.

Respond to the call of your gift and the courage to follow its path.

Let the flame of anger free you of all falsity.

May warmth of heart keep your presence aflame.

May anxiety never linger about you.

May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul.

Take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

Be consoled in the secret symmetry of your soul.

May you experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.
