Hello,
Good morning,
Sylvie here and today I'd like to guide you through a meditation that is designed to allow you to rise up for your day,
Rise up like the sun.
As you lay here comfortably,
Allow your body to soften into the support beneath you.
Let your arms,
Your hands rest wherever they naturally fall.
Unclench your jaw.
Loosen your forehead and soften all of the features of your face.
Allow your shoulders to melt away from your ears.
And if your eyes are not already closed,
You can go ahead and close them or simply lower your gaze,
Tuning your attention,
Your energy inwards in this moment.
Feel your eyelids getting heavy and notice what it feels like to arrive into your body.
Bring your awareness to the movement of your breath,
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your breath.
Follow the steady rhythm of your breath.
You might even notice by simply pointing awareness to the breath you may have altered or changed its state and that's okay.
Simply allow the breath to flow in its natural state at a natural pace.
Notice how you don't need to put any effort there.
The body will simply breathe itself.
The invitation here is to just simply notice.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin,
Bringing your awareness,
Your attention to any sounds that you might hear in this moment.
And can you find a quiet space within?
This feeling,
This sensation of calm and steadiness within you.
Notice the parts of your body that are connected to the earth and the parts of your body that are in space.
As you feel this connection to the ground,
Notice how steady and strong the earth is,
Your support below.
Notice how the earth holds you in this moment.
The land that has held so many others before you.
Can you tune into that strength?
Allow the grounding energy of the earth to rise through the soles of your feet,
Rising up through the legs,
Up your spine and into your heart center.
Can you allow yourself to feel deeply rooted here?
Feeling grounded,
Feeling strong and steady.
Now lift your awareness to the expansiveness of the sky as the sun rises,
The light returning again without even being asked.
This rhythm of rising,
Of shining,
Bringing in this new day,
This day that has never been lived before.
You get to decide how you show up for this day.
In this moment,
Allow yourself to set an intention,
A sankalpa for your day.
And perhaps,
Without putting any effort there,
Allow the intention to come to you with a heart fully open to receive the gifts of this day.
Receive what is waiting for you today.
Can you allow your intention to find its way to your heart space?
Opening yourself up to possibility.
Opening yourself up to love,
Kindness.
Opening up to creativity and allowing yourself to flow through your day with this energy.
The energy of love,
Kindness,
Compassion.
What are you inviting in for yourself today?
How do you want to show up for you,
For your community?
You get to decide.
Allowing your sankalpa to live in your body,
In your heart space.
You might ask yourself,
How do I want to feel today?
What energy do I want to carry as I move through this day?
Plant that intention now and trust that whatever arises,
Maybe it's a word or an image or a feeling,
Maybe it's ease,
Courage,
Presence or wonder,
Let it land gently into your heart space,
Into your being,
Into your body.
Feel into it now.
Allow your heart to be fully open,
Ready to receive this day.
As you prepare to close this practice,
I'll share with you this quote by Aeneas Nin.
Let these words guide you.
Let yourself be guided by this quote.
It goes like this,
And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
Let today be the day that you let yourself blossom.
Say to yourself,
I am ready for this day and today is going to be a good day.
Lean into risk,
Lean into joy,
Lean into presence and say to yourself,
I am ready for this day.
In this moment,
Bring your awareness into your breath.
Once again,
Noticing the gentle rhythm of the breath in the body,
That gentle rise and fall of your chest,
The steady rhythm of the breath,
Like the ebbs and the flow of the ocean.
Notice what it feels like to breathe into this moment.
Now invite movement into the body by wiggling your fingertips,
Wiggle your toes.
Tell body it's time to wake up,
It's time to move.
Rotate your wrists and your ankles,
Bringing movement into the limbs.
Inhale,
Reach your arms up over your head,
Get long in the body here,
A big stretch.
Reach,
Expand and take up space in this moment.
Thank you so much for joining me for this meditation.
Until next time,
Stay rooted and stay free.
