Welcome to this affirmations practice,

Letting your body relax and these affirmations can be here for you to remind you of your strength,

Your humanity and the power of kind awareness.

So as you listen to these,

Allow yourself to resonate with the affirmations that align with you.

To help with this sense of connection to these affirmations,

What we're going to do is to focus upon the in-breath and the out-breath and actually bringing the words in-breath and out-breath to each in-breath and out-breath.

And I'll be here just to remind you now and again.

I choose to listen to these words,

This is an act of kindness.

I choose to be there for myself just a little more.

This is a moment of safety.

My feelings are not weaknesses,

They are signs of my humanity.

Even when I feel misunderstood,

I am not truly alone.

Coming into that experience of the breath and remembering the words in-breath,

Out-breath and getting these perfectly in time with your in-breath and out-breath.

Others sometimes don't fully know my struggle,

But my experience is valid.

Somewhere,

There are other people who would understand my journey,

They know what it's like.

My struggles are real and my pain is valid.

It is ok that healing takes time,

I don't need to rush.

I allow myself to feel held by something greater than me,

Whether it is love,

Life or this quiet presence within me.

Healing is not linear,

It's supposed to feel like backwards steps sometimes.

Even in heavy moments,

A spark of strength lives within me.

My struggles are real and my pain is valid.

It is ok that healing takes time,

I don't need to rush.

I choose to allow my story to unfold with gentleness and care.

Choosing to be with the breath,

Here in-breath,

Now out-breath.
