Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting up or lying down,
And when you're ready,
You may lower your gaze or close your eyes completely.
And for this practice,
You're going to inhale through the nose,
And you're going to exhale with a hum,
So it should sound like this.
To find a hum that feels natural for you,
And let's go,
Deep breath in through the nose,
And let's hum it out.
Let's hum it out.
With every hum,
Let your body soften.
Let the sound,
The vibration become a warm current moving through you,
And try to keep your attention inside,
In the vibration,
In the hum,
Not in the future,
Not in the past,
Not anywhere,
But here and now,
Breathing in and humming it out.
And as the hum moves through you,
Feel into your body where you might be holding on to emotional baggage,
Emotions that never got to complete their natural cycle become stuck in the body.
Maybe it's a fear,
Grief,
Anger.
So as you hum,
Observe your body to where tension,
Emotional tension,
May still be stored.
And bring your hum,
Channel your hum,
The vibration,
Into that place,
Not to fix,
But to let it finally speak.
Let the vibration dissolve the unprocessed emotion,
The swallowed emotions.
Keep channeling your hum there,
One more time,
And for the very last time here,
Take a deep breath in and hum it out.
Let it go.
Let the natural breathing rhythm occur.
